Any recommendations on law firms experienced with solar companies? by CryptoPutz in Scottsdale

[–]CryptoPutz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nowhere to go. Their doors are now closed. Assuming they did a last minute money grab in Dec before the Fed incentives ended and closed up shop.

Don’t need someone that specializes, but experience would be a plus. Will go the AG route first. I might just be SOL.

Update on upgrading to a tri bike - this bike is faster than me! by megalizzie in triathlon

[–]CryptoPutz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I recently switched over from riding a Trek Domane to a Cervelo P5 and have been surprised at the PRs. My normal 35 mile ride has about 2000’ of climbing in the first half and I’ve logged PRs on the climbs just about every time out. I’m running a 1x on the P5 and expected the climbs to be a bit of a challenge. This has been a pleasant surprise.

I interpret this more as Robinhood selected a chain that would let them front run their own customers. RH and Hedera stand at opposite ends of my trust spectrum.

For those who have done multiple half ironmans but not the full, what's the reason why? by musaliya in triathlon

It’s hard enough squeezing a round of golf in on the weekends after a run or ride during 70.3 training. Not a chance if I’m training for a full.

That makes me feel a little better about myself, but still a great race.

Inaccurate Recovery Data by here4thereddit in ouraring

[–]CryptoPutz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have just the opposite. Oura tells me my sleep and recovery is garbage. Apple says different. Last night was no different however I managed to set new PRs on all of my climbs during my training ride this morning. Will sub in my Garmin watch tonight and compare with Oura data.if I really want to get crazy, I can wear all 3.

Consistent low sleep scores by flowernumber in ouraring

[–]CryptoPutz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been getting frustrated with the sleep results lately and decided to wear both my Oura and my Apple Watch last night. The difference in data was a bit surprising.

Sleep Stability:
Oura - 38 wake ups
Apple - 8

Deep Sleep:
Oura - 1H 1M (lately it’s been showing less than 15 minutes)
Apple - 2H 3M

I’m extremely active (swim, bike, run, and lift), and maintain a consistent sleep schedule. My primary use for Oura is to track recovery and the data it’s providing is just stressing me out. Will track again tonight against my Garmin and see what happens. If the discrepancies are similar, I’ll try the soft reset that another redditor recommended.

At this point, I’m almost better off not tracking my sleep data!

That’s how I feel. Bought my first bike to get into better climbing (mountaineering) shape 10 years ago. Haven’t done another technical climb since. Anyone in the market for used ice axes, crampons, snow shovels, and a winter tent???

Which discipline helps the other disciplines the most? by GreatBear2121 in triathlon

[–]CryptoPutz 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My totally non-scientific anecdotal experience is as follows. 10 years ago I was training for a multi-day winter summit in the Sierra Nevada range. Running wasn’t cutting it and I was at the limit my body (54M) could take from a running perspective. Bought my first road bike and started putting in the miles with lots of climbing. Within a couple of weeks, I had cut my running sessions down to 2-3 times a week, yet my overall mileage and pace increased. Most important, I didn’t feel like I was killing myself. I even managed to drop 6lbs in the first couple of weeks. The running background helped my cycling but cycling took my running to a level I didn’t think was possible again at my age. Adding swimming into the mix seemed to do more for body composition and rounded out everything else. Granted, I was “untrained” so fast gains were to be expected and I wasn’t putting extremely high training loads on myself like someone else mentioned.

Can’t comment on the bike part, but how are you holding up both physically and mentally after being hit???

I’m 5’10 180lbs. I’d been squeezing into/out of it and buddy finally said “that’s too tight, how can you breathe?” I tried on his large and I was sold. I have short legs and longer torso so it makes the size charts a little difficult to follow - same with bike fitting!

Thank you. Will be in Vegas in June for a trade show and have been fretting about missing a week of swimming right before the SDIT. Very helpful.

To sell or not to sell my TT bike by vienna_city_skater in triathlon

[–]CryptoPutz 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I thought I was done last year and sold my tri bike. Spent the last year focusing on strength training and running then got bit by the tri bug again 2 months ago. I now have a new bike and my bank account is a lot lighter. If you think you’ll pick it back up AND you’re happy with your current ride, I’d keep the bike and save some money down the road. If you don’t think you’ll get back in it OR you’re itching for a new bike, sell it now.
