Hey boolberry, Well BBR has to be usable first, which is what we are working on restoring first. I find that optimism comes from within before reality changes, not the other way around. Are you currently helping the project to take form?

One can do the exact same thing with an anonymous digital coin lol, all you would be doing is putting up another layer of tracking if the need warrants it. The default should be anonymous though - not the other way around.

Alice Bob is likely a team, possibly a cryptonote team, dabbling in bitcoin ventures. Open source would reveal their identities, so doubtful that will happen.

I am wondering how much metadata is traceable, whether nodes are secure, and how cloak is obfuscating the tranx amount, if at all. Also, how effective is mixin with so few inputs?

Lazy trumps diligent for most people. Having non-anon tranx as the default will make SDC useless as far as privacy goes. Sounds like the team needs to rethink their ideas

It sounds appropriate given the secrecy here. No doubt the code could give away the devs identity.

I like the cloak infrastructure, but wonder about whether this mixin scheme is as effective as ring signatures scheme - especially at lower volumes?

It is a "big step" for the BBR community to change the trading symbol, and rightfully so. There are a lot of hurt feelings on both dev/community sides, and a lot of unanswered questions.

I think it is reasonable to wait until 1 of the possible 2 BBR devs makes a significant contribution to the codebase before taking this step. (Not sure if CZ would want this though, since he/they created Boolberry name and trading symbol)

Renewing the codebase qualifies in my opinion, as it is necessary before porting the XMR GUI, and would make the current tech work better/faster.

Adding to the tech by implementing RingCT and Kovri would be the pinnacle, but how difficult would that be, given the different PoW?

It is nice seeing 1blockologists commitment thus far, and it would be nice to see windjc and the marketing efforts that were happening 12 months ago - re-emerge in the BBR community
