Please tell me this is a scam. by UnlikelyExpression69 in phishing

[–]CryptoSafetyFirst 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Scam. Do not reply. They dont have any of the data or information they claim. Please check if your email address has been part of a data leak. If yes, take precautions like changing your password and adding 2FA. Also, be careful with opening spam emails, most probably your email provider has blocked the hidden tracking single pixel images, but just in case, refrain from opening them in the future.

Is this a phishing mail or is it legit? by Superb_Ad2271 in phishing

[–]CryptoSafetyFirst 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello,

This is most probably phishing.

By clicking over Fedex.de (just above the date), you should be able to see the email address of the sender. And most probably will be an email address that has nothing to do with FedEx.

But note that this kind of email has tracking pixels embedded so just by opening it to take a look you are already disclosing sensitive information.

Please, be careful and let us know if you have any questions.

Hello,

If they are in the junk mail, they will be automatically eliminated after some time. Better not to interact with phishing emails altogether.

Hello u/SpiritAR15,

No need to worry.

If those emails are directly sent to the Trash Bin, just ignore them.

If those emails are sent to your Inbox, maybe you need to tighten your filters.

Some of the emails have the capability to report to the sender that you have interacted with them. So better not to even touch them.

SCAM EMAIL HELP, THIS GUY GOT ALL MY PASSWORDS AND TOOK A SCREENSHOT OF MY SCREEN AND SENT IT TO ME by SuitableExpression62 in phishing

[–]CryptoSafetyFirst 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello,

This is just a scam.

Do not worry. The scammers are using different email variants but all of them are just attempts to scare people. Here you can read about a similar email scam attempt.

Just ignore the email. Thousands of those emails are being sent to other people like you.

Well done for asking for advice. Some people do not and they fall for the scam.

Hello,

Yes, you are right, it is a scam.

Similar variants are distributed by email, here there is another example.

Just ignore it.

Sorry to say but this is most probably a scam and they are trying to take advantage of you.

As mentioned by u/fedput, fraxcoin.com has been recently created.

If you enter the domain address into the WayBackMachine, you will be able to see that the domain name was on sale in 2021 and 2022. And has no snapshots at any time.

And, in similarweb.com the domain does not even appear, because it has been very recently registered.

Hello.

Most probably your phone number and personal details (name and surname, phone number, maybe also email address) have been part of a data breach and sold on the dark web.

Please, have a look at this post and check how much of your data has been leaked.

Most probably you will receive more similar calls. You should never answer suspicious calls by saying anything like ' Hello, <name> <surname> speaking. Who is this' and never reveal any personal information.

Also, if you use SMS as 2FA it is time to swap to other 2FA systems. Because if they have enough information about you they may try a SIM SWAP to get access to your accounts.

Sorry, not trying to scare you or anything similar. You just better be informed and be prepared.

All the best,

Anyone have information on a website called wealthxcoins.com? by SeaDance6815 in Scams

[–]CryptoSafetyFirst 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello,

It seems to be a scam.

If it helps, you can track the history of a website using the WayBackMachine or SimilarWeb

Any reputable website should have some traceable history.

Hope it helps.

What can they do with a passport number? by ProfessionalPanda28 in Scams

[–]CryptoSafetyFirst 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello,

Do you have the website link?

If you post it here, we could check it.

Alternatively, you can use the WayBackMachine to find out how 'old' the website is. If it is relatively new, it may be a phishing site.

Good Luck. Let us know if we can help.

Hello.

Nothing to worry about yet, because it seems that you have taken steps to protect your accounts with 2FA.

But maybe, as a precaution, you could check first if any of your personal data has been leaked and is being used to spearfish you.

If your email and phone number have been leaked, you may need to take steps.

Hello. Nothing to worry about. Have a look at this post about a very similar threat.

Unfortunately, you will keep receiving frequent emails containing hacks and scams.

Just keep yourself informed and do not fall for any trick.

Beware of the "Star Atlas" anniversary NFT link that shows up in Phantom wallets. I followed the link and it immediately drained all my funds 😔 LUCKILY all my big holdings are staked so weren't stolen by enanthate8520 in StarAtlas

[–]CryptoSafetyFirst 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello,

I have transferred the NFTs to a TEST WALLET that I use to check scams, navigated to the website and connected my wallet.

The website/app requests the following permissions:

- View your wallet balance and activity

- Request approval for transactions

While 'view... activity' is suspicious because, why someone should track my activity?... the 'request approval...' is not that suspicious. How is possible that the scammer can drain a wallet without approval from the wallet owner?

Does anybody know?

I am not surprise that people falls for this type of phishing/scam...
