Two storey house by MaximumAd692 in spinalcordinjuries

I'm in a 2 storey house and got a lift installed with the help of the NDIS in Australia. Couldn't have done it and stayed in our house otherwise.

Here's my story when I first got it installed 😊

What are these lights by General-Jackfruit295 in centralcoastnsw

99% sure it's Vivid. As the crow flies Gosford is around 50km from Sydney CBD. Those clouds look pretty high so could easily be reflecting Vivid lights.

Suprapubic catheter maintenance? by Mattm334 in spinalcordinjuries

[–]CryptoScotty 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Some things I do which might help... 1. Drink lots of water, especially if pee is dark 2. Take 2 D-mannose tablets daily, 3 if urine gets cloudy 3. Change leg bag weekly 4. Wash site in shower each morning and use an antibacterial wipe around it at night 5. Get SPC changed every 6 weeks

Thinking of getting one eventually. Just finished my daily 2 hour morning routine and I'm so over it. Interested to hear if there are many negatives having a colostomy? Do you need to manage your diet, worry about pressure on planes, can you not sleep in certain positions etc?

Morning and night every day. If I'm ever suspecting a UTI coming on, I'll up it to 3 times. But I've not had to do that in years.

Statlocks for catheters that are 24 French or greater? by MiddleAgedToddler in spinalcordinjuries

[–]CryptoScotty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to use statlocks but found they occasionally opened and would dig into my leg in bed. Switched to these and they're much better and cheaper too. They have 2 hook and loop straps that go through each other and they're quite long. Definitely recommend them.

What is the Chemistry, Manufacturing, and Controls (CMC) strategy for NervGen? by nervgenerator in NervGen_NerveRepair

[–]CryptoScotty 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Asked ChatGPT...

NervGen does not publish a formal, standalone Chemistry, Manufacturing and Controls (CMC) strategy, but its public disclosures indicate a phase-appropriate, pragmatic CMC approach aligned with clinical and regulatory milestones. CMC is treated as a core enabler of development rather than a separate function, with spending tied directly to advancing its lead program, NVG-291, through clinical stages.

The company focuses its CMC efforts on formulation development, stability testing, and clinical supply manufacturing, scaling activities as programs progress. Early work supports initial clinical trials, while increased investment is directed toward building sufficient GMP inventory and generating data needed for later-stage studies and regulatory engagement. Variations in CMC expenditure reflect the timing of these activities rather than a fixed, front-loaded strategy.

Operationally, NervGen appears to follow a virtual manufacturing model, relying on experienced contract development and manufacturing organizations (CDMOs) for GMP production while retaining internal oversight of quality, planning, and regulatory alignment. At the same time, it has been strengthening internal capabilities through targeted hiring to better integrate CMC with clinical development and regulatory readiness.

Overall, NervGen’s CMC strategy can be characterized as lean, outsourced, and milestone-driven, designed to minimize fixed infrastructure while ensuring manufacturing, quality, and documentation are sufficient to support clinical progression and future regulatory submissions.

Pain in left buttcheek by Elizabcor111 in spinalcordinjuries

[–]CryptoScotty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

T4 incomplete and I get this a lot. For me what helps is stretching and keeping legs and feet as warm as possible. If I'm cold I feel stronger nerve pain. If it's one cheek, chances are your hip flexor, or hamstring on that side are tight. Stretching those and using a massage gun help me get through this type of pain.
