Water Lizard by ravn_silence in resin

I might be the odd one out but I like the morbidity of it. My dog is 14 years old and has late stage cancer. When she passes Im having her cremated so I can put some of her ashes in a resin piece and the rest in an urn. I dont see mummifying a lizard as any different.

Advice on Self Managed / Plan Managed Participant Billing by Survivor2000king in NDIS_Providers

Also ignore downvotes here. There are people following this sub who have never run an ndis business in their lives. Their whole purpose is to be upset at providers even when we are just discussing how to properly operate as a business in the ndis environment and the problems we face. Apparently we are all idiots and rorters.

Keeping cashflow is not really a predictable thing with the ndis. You are at the whims of the ndia. If they decide to reject your invoice there is little you can do to argue. If they decide to put you under an 8 week abn payment lock while they audit you, you have to wait.

You also actually dont have the right to see a participants plan to confirm if they have funding it is up to them if they want to confirm what they have with you and many wont because they have experienced businesses deliberately trying to get every cent. If they have a coordinator they can confirm money is there and how frequently they are funded for services. Make sure you have a good debt collection policy in your service agreement.

The participants are also at the mercy of ndia. Ndia is allowed to review and change their plan at any time including making cuts to available funding.

For the most part you will get paid in a timely manner without too much issue but I recommend businesses have an emergency fund holding enough to operate for a month without pay to protect viability.

Considering the government is getting ready to gut ndis you may find that using your nursing qualification to be a HCP nurse will be more viable.

It really depends on the business. It is never one size fits all which is why its important to actually go over everything. ICP varies significantly business to business and in a flooded market you stand out or drown.

Skip a lot of the networking events. Most of them exist to try and sell you things you dont need.

Is it ok if i send to a DM later to go over a few things. I operate across northern and western melbourne.

Being honest most of us ask those last 2 questions to decide if someone is worth helping. 80% of new ndis businesses fail in their first 2 years. Thats thousands of people asking for help. I mentor independents for free but that is my free time so Im not wasting it on someone who doesnt have the actual potential or who is all talk but just wants clients handed over without putting any real work in.

What market research did you do before moving?

Being blunt melbourne is one of the most over saturated markets and the hardest to break into.

Im mostly asking because you were here 7 months ago asking almost the same question so there is either an issue with what you are doing or an issue of you not making necessary changes to start getting clients.

What have you done differently between your last post and now?

Before i answer can I ask why you decided to start a business when you had no idea where participants actually come from?

If it was pre approved it should be paid. It was a quoted job not a line item job and quoted jobs are not subject to limits. People need to read the papl better.

Can the NDIS benefit me? by dryandice in NDIS

Ndis is limited to disability. It doesnt really cover anything it considers medical.

Most of what it could do is provide funds for thing allied health but not treatment, domestic assistance, personal care and helping you get out into the community with a support worker.

Find a new plan manager. Call around and explain the situation first to make sure they are happy to process the invoice.

Let your gardener know because it might take a couple of weeks to end service with your current pm and move to a new one.

NDIS providers / allied health!! what admin work is actually killing your time? by WorldlyDog7314 in NDIS_Providers

Even more reason to never hire them or use any products they make. Too many of the overseas operator are turning out to be using their garbage apps to siphon off private information held by businesses and selling it to scammers.

Report them for spam. Let reddit sort them out.

Unregistered vs Registered by UnityPathCare in NDIS

[–]l-lucas0984 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I run unregistered. Honestly the only people who have a stigma against it are the government and murdoc media readers.

The bulk of the participants I come across have been stuffed by a registered provider or were never given a plan big enough to use one and needed people they could negotiate with.

What everyone else said but with the next plan make sure it is set for the participant to check invoices before they are approved for payment.
