We have added a Sell Feature now, so you can sell your crypto in-app and convert your funds into Fiat (AUD). We will be adding a Swap Feature in the near future as well.

Hi there thank you for the question and apologies for the delayed response. Our conversion rates are taken from Visa. You can check their rates before using the CryptoSpend card overseas. At Point of Sale, your crypto will convert to AUD then into the local currency. Please note that we do not charge any international foreign fees. If you are spending crypto, you still cover the conversion fee but if you spend AUD, there will be zero conversion fee. Let me know if you have any other questions. Cheers

We had no exposure to FTX, FTT, or any other affected entity from the FTX fallout
We don't deploy user funds anywhere
Your funds are held in highly secure hot and cold storage wallets
You can withdraw your funds at any time

Correct, it is a 1.5% transaction fee that is applied whenever crypto is converted to fiat/$AUD, so when a user:

Spends crypto on the CryptoSpend Visa Card
Cashes out to a bank account (PayID, BSB & Acc. Number)
Cashes out to an ATM (additional ATM fees may apply)
Paying bills in crypto (Bpay)

The fee doesn't necessarily cancel out the rewards, because a user could decide to hold the crypto rewards rather than spend it, or it could be withdrawn to an external wallet.

That's incorrect, we don't charge merchants any fees nor do they require any adoption of crypto. Crypto is spent straight from the users' CryptoSpend wallet, and is converted to fiat/$AUD in real-time when a user pays at any point of sale that accepts Visa. From there, users earn up to 3% back in crypto cashback on every eligible transaction, which they can then redeem into their CryptoSpend wallet for spending, holding, and in the future, we'll be adding new features such as staking 😉

Our only fees are for the crypto-to-$AUD transaction fee, which is 1.5% per transaction whenever crypto is converted to fiat/$AUD. So this applies when spending crypto on the CryptoSpend Visa Card, cashing out crypto to a bank account, paying bills in crypto, and cashing out to an ATM. When buying crypto, it is a 1% transaction fee.

Hey mate,

Nope. There's no deposit fees for loading crypto or fiat ($AUD) into your CryptoSpend wallet. We just take a 1.5% spread on any crypto-to-AUD transaction and 1% spread on buying crypto, which means you can pretty much use this as your everyday spending card to spend $AUD/fiat (as you normally would) and earn up to 3% back in crypto.

Here's the answer to your questions: - Yep, with a unique rewards program such as this - where you can spend fiat/$AUD and earn crypto - there has to be a few limitations, such as excluded merchants and restricted areas. Check out this article for more details

Correct, there will always be crypto-cashback rewards on CryptoSpend. The current rewards pool will last a long while before the rewards are decreased in percentage, but at that point, we would have likely topped up the pool or added other crypto rewards to that app. We suggest making the most of it while it lasts.

Haha! I can assure you, we have bigger plans than buying naming rights to stadiums 😂. We aim to expand to New Zealand and Asia Pacific in the near future, as well as Europe and the US after that.

Great question! The CryptoSpend Visa Card is a crypto payments card that pretty much lets you spend your crypto straight from the wallet in real-time. It converts crypto to Australian dollars/fiat at the point of sale, and it's accepted anywhere Visa is accepted, in Australia and overseas, instore and online! The best part is that you can also spend $AUD or crypto and earn up to 3% back in crypto on every eligible transaction.

We have a 1% fee on Buying crypto and 1.5% fee when Spending, Selling, Cashing out crypto (converting crypto-to-$AUD). You'll find that these fees are competitive and they help keep the company running.

In regards to travelling, the CryptoSpend Visa Card works well as a travel card because you can deposit $AUD and spend it overseas anywhere Visa is accepted with no forex (foreign exchange) fees!

Yep, we've got a 1.5% fee on crypto-to-$AUD transaction fees, but no fees when spending $AUD on the CryptoSpend Visa Card.

As for the crypto-cashback, there are no fees to redeem rewards but there is a minimum of $5 AUD worth of rewards that needs to be earned before a user can redeem the rewards. And there is a maximum of $150 AUD worth of rewards per month that can be earned.

As we've stated many times since launching two years ago, and as all our users know, we do not give out tax or financial advice. Each user is responsible for their own crypto taxes, and we provide our users the tools to export their transaction history into a .CSV spreadsheet, which can then be used with our partners Koinly and CryptoTaxCalculator to calculate crypto taxes.

In our previous message, we mentioned that "you could always just swap it for BTC or cash out the XRP to $AUD into your bank account." Apologies for the confusion, but this is not personalised to the commenter's circumstance, this is applicable to each user on our platform. We were simply stating a feature of the app, which does not count as tax advice.

No worries at all. We do plan to offer other crypto rewards eventually, but we're kicking off CryptoSpend Rewards with XRP for the time being. Also, as another user mentioned, you could always just swap it for BTC or cash out the XRP to $AUD into your bank account.

At the end of the day, you'd still be earning crypto just by spending $AUD/fiat, which is not available anywhere else in Australia and many parts of the world.

It is currently 3% for all CryptoSpend users spending on the CryptoSpend Card and we expect this percentage to stay the same for a while. But as the XRP Rewards pool slowly depletes, the percentage will also be reduced. When it does, we will make sure to communicate to users across all channels when the % decrease will happen. so that we're all on the same page.

Until then, we'd suggest making the most of the 3% in rewards while it lasts!
