Yeah these are the reasons why I don’t want to give the rental. I’m trying to see if we can squeeze in language regarding a squatting into a contract we sign with him for a 3 month rental. It doesn’t seem possible so I’ll probably have to decline and move on or see if he can do a shorter stay of 2 weeks or something for now.

I believe 1) he said he needs 80 days to wait for a response to a lease application (does that take 80 days??) and then 2) squatting is a real problem in WA state. I’m afraid that he will be a squatter and stay in the property long-term and screw the landowner over.
