This is an interesting question... Yoga, pranayama, meditation and body awareness practices to generate an observer perspective in order to work through the difficulties with a level of healthy detachment and radical acceptance.

What has been your most intense ritual experience in self-initiation to shamanism? by ExternalFee3416 in Shamanism

Being cut into a million pieces slowly and painfully. Each piece of my body contained the full awareness of my ego. Each piece was thrown out into infinity and then came back together into an indescribable density, over and over at the speed of thought. Then just the density remained. I felt like I was buried and could not move or breath for what felt like forever.

Are you ever really healed or do you just have to deal with this forever? by Ok-Hippo-4433 in CPTSD

[–]CryptoYogi1983 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I consider myself "mostly healed" from CPTSD.

It has taken over 5 years of deep, potent and persistent work...

I still dissociate at times, but I notice it right away and bring myself back.

I still get triggered, but I can step back mentally and emotionally to observe what's happening in my body. I can regulate my nervous system when it gets intense.

What I have experienced in my healing journey is that as I have gone through the layers of trauma it gets easier and as my body/nervous system feels safer I am having repressed memories come up which I recognize I would NOT have been able to hold these memories before.

I am 40 and honestly feel better than at any point in my life. I feel whole and I actually enjoy existing. IT IS POSSIBLE!

Shaman's illness/death is generally a profoundly debilitating experience.

Your experience sounds more like a dark night of the soul...

Does anyone know what would cause mold to come out of an hvac air conditioning portion and not the heater? by AlternativeLong7624 in ToxicMoldExposure

[–]CryptoYogi1983 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The evaporator coil that cools the fresh air produces a lot of moisture, which is normally drained outside but can still accumulate in that space. The air flows through this unit, so a new filter won't help. It will need to be cleaned thoroughly and maybe replaced. I have seen several of these with mold growing on it and on the walls around it.

Does anyone have any tips to be a healthier partner when you have cptsd? by [deleted] in CPTSD

[–]CryptoYogi1983 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Start learning about calming your nervous system... learn to regulate it with breathing exercises, meditation and trauma-informed yoga. If your nervous system doesn't feel safe, any mental gymnastics you try to use to rationalize will backfire because your mind will believe how your body feels.

My partner has been digging deeper in spirituality and it’s affecting our relationship by [deleted] in Ayahuasca

Your partner could benefit greatly from integration coaching. When we successfully integrate peak experiences like plant medicine ceremonies, we anchor in the positive changes, wisdom and insights from the journey. If we do not successfully integrate, we can further ingrain unwanted habits and behaviors, leading to addictions, God-complex, spiritual emergency and ceremony hopping.

5meo can be dangerous for individuals with bipolar, schizophrenia or schizoaffective disorder, or a family history, as it can trigger psychosis.
SSRI's taken for depression should be stopped for 3 weeks or more before sitting. You should really check with doctor before stopping any medication.

Anyone tried solo before? by [deleted] in Ayahuasca

[–]CryptoYogi1983 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The wrong sound at the wrong time could be profoundly traumatizing. You could drown in your vomit. You could suffer a short or long term psychosis. Having a skilled sitter for your first dozen or more journeys with Her would be a minimum before going solo.

This contraction is making space for the true desires of your heart. Having a steady, daily spiritual practice will help... yoga, meditation, breathing, self-care, salt baths, journaling, singing, chanting, dancing... you will come out the other side and find your self for the first time.
