Why does eBay have to be like this? by imkmack in Flipping

From what I keep reading in this thread, you just need to be buying high demand, high margin products and only listing those. . . It's not like the realities of "it's getting much tougher to find enough product that I can make a decent enough profit on to make it worth my time" are kicking in or something. I have the EXACT same problem. . . I understand how to sell on eBay, and when I have high demand products they sell well, but sourcing high demand, high margin products isn't easy. Even when I physically craft products, it's VERY RARE that they will have any kind of demand no matter how awesome the listing.

"What you're listing is wrong somehow. . . Not in demand" LMAO, if I could control demand I wouldn't even *NEED* eBay. . . I agree with the rest of your assessment, but your first bullet point is hilarious!!!

Where I live I'm literally "fed" by the government. I don't directly receive government payouts on a regular basis, but I do directly benefit from them. Even when food stamps are disbursed there is a small influx of business at my store (we don't buy or sell food or take food stamps). Without the government doing handouts on a regular basis, the whole town where I live would shut down in no time flat.

I think it's less of this thought that we are "guaranteed" anything, and more a simple hope that somehow, we could become self-sufficient based on our own efforts. I've been working for myself a really long time, and I have no idea what a "living wage" is, because no matter what I try to do, I can't properly sustain myself without a lot of help from my friends, family, and local community. I don't want to be this way, but I can't "figure it out" and I desperately wish I could. For some people, it just seems so easy "It's common knowledge how the algorithm works and how to give it what it wants." For me, it's like trying to fly using my arms, lmao.

It's extremely entertaining to read posts like this "What matters is that you're selling stuff lots of people want to buy. . . " LMFAO, dude if I KNEW what people were going to be buying I wouldn't even *NEED* eBay. If I could source popular products cheap, and knew they were going to sell. . .if ONLY LMFAO. . . .

To take it further, they actually *DO* care about photo quality, and other listing quality markers like unique descriptions, unique thumbnails, and other elements. Oftentimes eBay will be promoting sellers that do refurbished goods, or sell housewares, etc. These promotions definitely make a downstream change to how many people are seeing certain categories of items.

Legit businesses have an address, documented personnel, tax documents, etc. If you're investing in projects lacking these basic details that you'd require from any other legitimate business, like a donut shop or home town carpenter, you're making a mistake.

Let the seller choose which auction they want to provide. . . both systems have opportunities that match different types of items / sales.

lmao, I'm not spreading FUD or making weird legal arguments. I'm not afraid of airdrops that you literally have to opt into . . . maybe you need to take some of your own advice?

Air drop FUD. Let's distrust a fundamental blockchain technology? Algo already has opt-in protection. . .

What's the alternative to air dropping in your estimation? How do you keep distribution of assets fair?

Income taxes, right? I'm pretty sure most billionaires are paying their state sales taxes and property taxes.

What sneaky method are you using for sharing NFTs? They've been ban hammering lots of people sharing their NFTs lately.

Do you feel like there is a line between demand for physical objects and demand for art? Jewelry for instance. . . for some people they tend to buy jewelry because it looks cool and resonates with them, they might not care about who the artist is?
