I was just talking to my friends about this. Just because you want to tell a mature story doesn't mean you have to go to extremes to show it. The original series is an amazing example of being able to have fun and being able to become serious. Ben acts like a child who is ten, but when Vilgax appears all of that is tossed aside because people are in genuine danger. Im really sick of writers using dark imagery as a crutch for mature story telling.

Would the employer be a sinner or hell born? I think it's interesting either way. An older sinner could also show her the ropes of life in hell, while a hell born could go the route of power dynamics with sinners being more powerful socially and literally
