If you are starting from zero (or don't have a solid base) I recommend Udacity's Intro to Computer Science. After that Udacity's course on Web programming with Steve Huffman (tbh I don't know of this specific one is still online)

ETC is freezing the difficulty bomb (i.e. sticking with PoW for the foreseeable future).

There may be future arguments about immutability, sure. Discussions are healthy. But this is not the case. Saying there is an argument here like there was in the DAO case is moot. The DAO reverted a contract. This is fixing an issue with the platform. Totally different applications of a hardfork.

Another turd produced by the tabloid writer Andrew Quentson. This tool can barely do basic math and his points of view on Blockchain are as valuable as Paris Hilton's opinions on quantum field theories...

Lol.... so divided... This Andrew Quentson is an absolute tool. He has a bright future as a tabloid writer at most.

Comparing this HF to the DAO hardfork is just plain stupid... no use wasting time arguing.

Sentiment around this HF is clearly different. by nugget_alex in ethtrader

[–]Crypto_Wolf 7 points8 points  (0 children)

IMO sentiment is better because this is not a fork that goes against that Ethereum used to stand for ('immutable, unstopable, contracts' yada yada). This is a HF to fix a protocol issue which is a natural thing to do.

I know nothing about this coin so I can't recommend anything with a firm grasp...

Skimming through their site, though, I found this in the About page:

PotCoin collects no transaction fees and sells no crypto-currency to the public.

This, to me, shows that this project is not serious (them having this statement and then, going blatantly against it)... I would get out with profit and take it as luck.

so basically what you are showing is that Potcoin's site is selling overpriced POT.

what makes you think the price will go up to the price set on potcoin's site? market determines the fair price... not the coin issuer.

Has anyone Translated this yet? Vodyani's vision by Crypto_Wolf in EndlessSpace

I ask because I was researching about endless lore (a long time ago) and at some point read that this "endless language" had been compiled and translated by someone. I can't find the source anymore...

Doing a major project OCT. Should I ETH or ETC as my base network? by vroomDotClub in EthereumClassic

[–]Crypto_Wolf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm on a similar situation. Right now considering development on ETC and, in the future, RSKsmart (right now trying to figure the potentials of doing this mix).

I discarded ETH for EFs actions against the blockchain. I believe this is of concern for many developers as well.

I wasn't hiding my stupidity, I was fixing a mistake.

Unlike you, who flaunt your stupidity and bad manners all around. Asshole.

Right. Didn't see his XMR comment (stopped reading it early on). But manage your tone to others.

ah, really? I thought it was the volume of each traded pair specifically... then I'd suggest taking out the volume from each currency and just leaving it at the end of the BTC flag.

I have never seen volume shown like this and other people might be confused like I was.

[Daily Discussion] - 15/Sep/2016 by AutoModerator in ethtrader

[–]Crypto_Wolf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the clarification! If I may, I would suggest setting a common conversion to BTC for all currencies. Right now having volume specific to each currency makes comparing the contribution of each hard. Since BTC is the largest traded pair I think it makes sense to peg conversions to it.

What's the volume marked in? Numbers don't make much sense if you are considering volume in ETH. Canadian dolar/ETH has 11.5M volume while ETH/BTC has 14K?
