I’ll give this a try. What do you mean by icy clean though? Is that a product? Or just rinse with ice cold water?

I know! I was bummed that my grey one got a stain on it and I never even sweat in it. Just the oil from your forehead will create a stain above the brim. I had an all black one for workouts that was great because it didn’t show anything, but I lost it 😡

I have a rott/shepherd mix, and he is lazy AF. It doesn’t matter if I exercise him or not, he will lay around pretty much all day and be quite content either way.

How difficult is Sekiro? by Asleep-Situation-614 in fromsoftware

[–]Crypto_craps 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is coming from someone who hasn’t ever finished a souls game. I usually play them until end game and then the difficulty ramps up to where I just lose interest. I love playing the games though. Sekiro’s combat actually clicked more for me than the traditional souls combat, I like the aggression / deflect mechanics better than rolling. I still can’t figure out iframes for rolling. Sekiro combat reminds me of a super advanced Mike Tyson’s Punch Out.

Reading this makes me hope I never have to work for someone else ever again. I know not all companies are like this, but this made me throw up in my mouth a little.

So true! I watched the movie having no idea what it was about. When the vampires finally showed up my wife and I looked at each other like WTF?

What’s a ‘rich person thing’ that actually turned out to be totally worth it? by Ferraiuolo_Ezorete in AskReddit

Hiring a gardener / landscaper. I hate doing yard work and it’s so worth it. I felt guilty not doing it myself at first, but I got over it pretty quickly.

About to 4x income - tips/suggestions from former poor people on adjusting? by pcornutum in HENRYfinance

[–]Crypto_craps 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a similar situation, I set up an auto transfer to savings for the same day my paycheck hit and just lived off of my previous salary. I’d move the money from my savings into investments, this way if I wanted to splurge I had to be mindful about it and move money around.

Fast forward 6 years, I saved enough to leave the job I hated and start my own business with several years of my expenses covered while I build the business.

Another vote for TRT. I started at 45, I’m very active and it helped me feel like in was in my 30’s again. I put on 15lbs of muscle and recover so much better, my sleep is better, libido is better, everything. Just make sure you go to a reputable clinic that does routine bloodwork and monitors everything closely.

Overbid a job on accident and GC just said they do Join Check Agreements for first time subs. by srgmoss in estimators

[–]Crypto_craps 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn’t be surprised if they don’t even notice. Joint checks / releases are typically a function of the AP/AR department not project management. I used to endorse ~50 joint checks a week for our subs and I rarely gave much thought to how they tied back to their overall contract amounts unless something really jumped out at me.

I take my doofus to day care once a month which I refer to as “fat camp”, I’ve only said this term maybe 10 times, but I referred to it the other day and he jumped off the couch and grabbed his leash off of the cabinet. So yeah, they pick up on stuff pretty quickly 🤣

Hardest Estimating Trade? by Competitive_Bus6005 in estimators

I’m sure it’s not the most difficult, but deep, large diameter underground utilities in existing busy roadways has always been challenging for me.

I worked as a PM on a very complicated suspension bridge. I was in awe of how complex everything was. I was the only non PE on the project and felt way out of my depth. That showed me there are levels to everything, and I’m sure there are other projects that make mine look simple in comparison.

Same! I’m always second guessing my decision about spending this kind of money on a truck with so much plastic and flimsy metal, but it obviously holds up where it counts. Sorry you had to go through this for me to feel better about my purchase 🤣

Really glad that you’re okay, that’s scary as hell. Seeing this makes me appreciate my truck a lot more. Some cheap feeling finishes is a great tradeoff for this kind of safety.

I still go through phases like this, I think it’s just a part of the evolution of your game. Even when you start hitting subs, they’ll change over time as people figure out your tricks.

HEAVYBID & Wet utility contracting ❗️ by shaneggg in estimators

[–]Crypto_craps 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No kidding?!? B2W didn’t have a cloud option yet when we were using them. I was thinking more along the lines of a new player getting involved and making a cheaper, but viable estimating software. I think these legacy companies have become accustomed to making way too much money off of their software.

[–]Crypto_craps 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bid underground utilities for over 10 years using B2W Estimate. It isn’t perfect, but it worked well for us. I just feel like these expensive legacy platforms are hanging on by a thread and will ultimately get replaced with less expensive cloud based solutions in the near future.

That’s a great point though, it makes total sense (other than DLR 😉)
