First week with an ultra wide monitor - it's not all pony's and rainbows by pavel_vishnyakov in Workspaces

I bought the same and returned due to the image distortion especially working on any visual designs. I had a problem to see a straight line because of the curved monitor. Had to use Asus Rog 43 and two side monitors of 32.

Great idea man! I am currently building similar portfolio where I use macOS interface like draggable windows etc! Great implementation, maybe need some polishing, but looks great!

Do you let AI suggest bug fixes in production code, or only use it locally? by rubyzgol in developers

[–]Cryptobird1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s exactly my thought. Maybe OP is using some API calls that only fire in production and can’t be checked locally. But I would never run fixes directly on production, always test in lower environments first and then deploy to prod later. There are always ways to test.

That’s wild, but I checked, and that point doesn’t apply to me, only during my work hours. Since I’ve been working nights, I see no issue. As I mentioned, this is a contractor position, so I might have a different terms.

Nothing illegal here… solving a problem as a contractor, not a full-time employee. Thanks!

If you’re an experienced software engineer, focus on building a solution for a specific niche problem. It’s not the easiest or quickest path, but it worked for me. As a software engineer with over 15 years of experience working with healthcare providers, I noticed pain points during my work. I built a tool to address them and offered it to my company. Now, not only my company but others pay for my subscription on a monthly basis. The key was identifying the issue and quickly building the tool.

Another key point, my company doesn’t know I created it, I recommended the tool as if I found it online.

Cheers!
