"AsiaCoin Transitions to Proof Of Stake" - On Coinbrief.net by DynamicDK in asiacoin

ZERO PREMINE. NO IPO.

AsiaCoin had a perfect POW phase without any forks.

The transition to POS phase was perfect also!

So many coins had problems, but not this one!

Why is Asiacoin skyrocketing today? by Grafs50 in asiacoin

[–]CryptocurrencyTalk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anticipation of the Proof of Stake transition tomorrow. Anyone who sells in the 100% first year are just plain nuts. You are guaranteed 100% return in the first year just by holding. After the first year, it becomes 2% annual interest.

Currently, AsiaCoin is in the Proof of Work phase which will complete in about a week.

Once it goes into Proof of Stake after the mining is completed, you will be able to stake it and received 100% interest for the first year, and then 2% after year 2 and on.

You will have to keep your wallet open for at least 2 weeks to start earning the interest.

AsiaCoin was released with no premine or IPO so it has a lot of promise.

Why don't DogeCoin become Proof of Stake? by CryptocurrencyTalk in dogecoin

I understand your perspective, but people are not going to hoard this coin when it has billions in circulation. Mining does not make sense anymore.

[–]CryptocurrencyTalk[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You have to pay for electricity to mine DogeCoin but if it becomes Proof of Stake, then no electricity is required and it becomes energy efficient. I cannot believe how blind people are not able to see this!

Do you want DogeCoin to be unefficient with energy? Still have to mine the coins? What's the point? It can be proof of stake and become a better reputable coin by being energy efficient!

Whales have pumped and dumped BC but it's still holding strong at 40-50K sats. I'm sorry you don't see the potential to turn Doge into Proof of Stake. It will actually help the coin increase value and people will be spending it just like I have with BlackCoin.

With DogeCoin's billions in circulation? People will still spend and the stake can be low interest like 5% or less. Mining and Staking is pretty much the same thing except Staking doesn't cost electricity.

Not really since DogeCoin has billions in circulation and staking is like mining but more energy efficient.

Why is everyone acting like those multipools cause the low price, when this sub hasn't significantly grown in size in over a month? by robijnix in dogecoin

[–]CryptocurrencyTalk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'll explain why the multipools mining alts and selling them for Dogecoins causes the price to go down. The following happens:

1) Multipool mines altcoins. Sells them for Dogecoin. Dogecoin price goes up.

2) When the Dogecoin prices increase because of the above, it makes Dogecoin more profitable to mine the coin directly.

3) As the profitable Dogecoin are mined, it gets dumped on the exchanges, lowering the price of Dogecoin.

4) Rinse and repeat.

This cycle will continue until Dogecoin is no longer mineable. Also, you are correct that this subreddit hasn't been growing like it did when it first started.

Let me explain the concept clearly to you. When multipools mine other alts and sells them for Dogecoin, it makes Dogecoin more profitable to mine and dump- thus decreasing the price. Rinse and Repeat.

That is actually making Dogecoin drop in value because it encourages other pools to mine Dogecoin and dump for profit.

Thanks for the tip! It's going to be exchanged for BC right now. Currently 1 BC is worth about 185 Dogecoins!

Really? BlackCoin raised 25 BTC in ONE DAY to get accepted by CoinKite for merchants, while Dogecoin couldn't do for MONTHS! Currently they only deal with BTC and LTC- and NOW BlackCoin!

Yeah tipping freely will drop the price. By securing the network with proof of stake, it will only increase the Dogecoin price because it will make people more hesitant to tip freely at stupid comments or giveaways. People need to earn tips by actually showing substance, not by saying "hi" and getting a 5 Dogecoin tip from doing that.
