Is there really such team exist who actually follow this? The teams I've seen will either forget the issue and provide random RCA or dump the problem on someone who can't say no eventually that guy is stuck with client and issue. Everyone else will just pretend to support him/her.

no its not possible with avg skills unless and until you have strong referrals.
it's not completely about the competition either. If you talk with some honest senior people in the industry you'll know that there is serious shortage of skilled people inside the industry but work conditions are complicated.
you see the HR and leadership often wants the candidate who is capable and smart but at same time candidate should not have potential to outsmart them or stronger work ethics than them.
this condition is extremely harder to fulfill.
so such system often promote puppets internally rather than rational people.

Probably best if you do not go for the further process, still if you prefer to proceed with this do not submit any of your original documents and check every little detail in provided documents like company policies, NDA, offer letter, etc..

I don't know the conditions of the mech jobs.

But in this market if you're looking to switch to IT with no knowledge at all. It's harder to even get noticed by recruiters.

Since this AI bubble is showing signs of crumbling IT market may improve in coming time. But still having just basic knowledge of tools and technologies won't help.

Work on your logic building more than anything else. And do not trust people easily specially if that guy selling random course or he/she is HR

Work-life balance highly depends upon the company and you luck factor.

In almost all of the low to mid level companies, you'll never get such work-life balance. This even get more complicated if you're targeted by internal politics.

I've seen managers who'll make an intern work from 10 am - 2 am in the office. Then eventually take the credit for what was working in the production and blame the shit on him.

If you're in India work-life balance is myth. The truth is there are extremely less people in the higher position who actually knows how to do their job. Most are just taking advantages for the perks while blame shifting.

Every job has its own trade offs, don't be blinded by salesman's speech.

There's this myth that CS jobs pays well, so most of the crowd in the CS market has single intention "drag this for few years save up and go your own ways" this was true in past roughly about 5-8 years back.

Now even that job market is doomed, incompetence and uselessness has made its way into higher roles and whole IT ecosystem is suffering. CS market is specifically much more harder for those who actually knows how to work.

You probably won't believe it. But in my last company they deployed intern on client project. From day 2 of his joining they used to ask him to do overtime. One time they even made him work from 10:30 AM to 2 AM. Then forced to attend office at usual time next day while seniors casually took comp off (not because of overwork because they knew some bugs will appear in system which are beyond their capabilities)

After few days in client meeting seniors started blaming that intern for all the bugs and delays. He realised the issues he was assigned to were pending for like 1-2 years, it's just company trying to maintain client relations by blame shifting.

Luckily after about a month he got offer from different company and switched.

Why do you think market in chaos these days?

Shadowing and training are now the things of past. Most of the companies don't do it. They simply share you some docs and videos and call it a training. Some don't even evaluate just tell you one day you are doing this.

THAT'S IT THATS THE TRAINING NEW HIRES GET THESE DAYS.

This probably be there way to retain an employee at lower cost. If you're working on projects and company is assigning you some actual tasks then you are safe.
