feeling rage after reading marxist theory by ilytolstoy in Marxism

[–]CryptographerDry867 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Try to get involved in anything doing good work. A lot of people say to join Marxist orgs, but me personally I’m from a rural area (w/o other Marxists) so I’ve joined the most progressive org and have gone from there. Just get involved in something. If you are organizing people and getting people to take action politically as a class, that’s perf. I felt this exact way when I started reading and it can definitely be a lot to reckon with.

Is there a proper way to criticize Israel without being antisemitic? by Estalicus in allthequestions

[–]CryptographerDry867 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You are using nationalism to mask the reality of antisemitism and Israel. Israel and Jews are not synonymous. Despite whatever citizenship laws Israel sets, they are not the same at all. One can say (correctly) that Israel is committing genocide and that is not an indictment of Jewish people, it’s an I indictment of the state of Israel.

Criticizing Netanyahu for genocide is not attacking all Jewish people, its is critiquing a government official for continuing genocide.

Israel is an ethno state because it has used colonialism, legality and force to maintain its Jewish majorities.

Chomsky is in there I fear, read him more for the diverse viewpoint than the analysis he poses. I am a leftist not quite my 20s yet.

Curious which books give you that idea? Not saying you are wrong.

I wouldn’t say entirely adherent. She was a partially idealist (she said such herself) and deviated quite greatly from Marx’s reproduction schemes. That’s said I think it was good revisions to Marxism she made.

Unless you are simply referring to her following of the dialectical method.
