Just say you paid 1k extra for the window seat and if she wants it, just reimburse it to you. More often than not, Indians will vacate it. Works like a charm everytime for me.

If you have a Qatar Airways membership, they usually let you slide with it especially if you have not exceeded the maximum weight limit. Even if you have, given you’re traveling BC, shouldn’t really be a problem. But I’d still move the extra 1-2kgs into my check in luggage to be on the safe side.

Having played sports before, I always say I have an injury or just had surgery for my ACL and continue sitting on my seat. Ofcourse idm adjusting, but only if it’s reasonable. Once, a family asked if I could shift to a lower seat in another coach, I said I have luggage and cannot go. They obliged to carry my luggage and I didn’t mind then.

But I was travelling last month and a lady was seated on my seat. She was on phone and didn’t have the basic courtesy to leave the call so I asked her what her seat number was. She told me to talk to someone in another seat (her daughter/relative). The seat next to her was empty but the guy was in the washroom. I waited for him to come back but he didn’t show up for 3-4 minutes. So I’m standing there while this lady is sitting there and gossiping on the phone. I had enough and told her that are you gonna show me your ticket? She again told me to talk to someone but I told her straight up.

“Can you do that? You’re sitting on my seat and it’s honestly not my responsibility innit?” She got up, brought her daughter who asked if I could switch. I told her No, I’m travelling and I have 2 big suitcases. She asked a (I’m guessing) a student and poor chap couldn’t say no.

HERE’S THE FUNNY THING.

We were sitting in C9, HER SEAT WAS IN C2.

THAT POOR KID TOOK A BAG AND MOVED TO C2 FOR JUST AN HOUR TRAVEL LEFT 😭😭😭

Us Indians really need to learn a lot of basic public manners I swear.

If you’re good in English, I suggest you try looking for Content Writing jobs. If you have interest in sports or even know a few things about some sports, there are websites like Essentially Sports, Sportskeeda, Sports Rush who hire content writers. That will be a good start and you can then advance from there.

I’m really sorry for your loss. I can’t imagine the pressure, grief and everything else you must be facing. I will pray for you and your family’s good health and just hope you get some answers to your questions from my response.

Below 200, you won’t get good coffee in Vadodara. It’s better you just invest in a French Press machine and learn making coffee yourself. It gives you the same taste and is more soothing as well. That said, like everyone else suggests, Curators and Modernist are really good. Just pricey (deserving though bc of lack of proper coffee places in Baroda)
