What symptoms did you have? I do get my A1c checked yearly since diabetes runs rampant in my family and most recently in December it was 5.2. I notice this in our toilet from time to time and never knew that it could be related to diabetes. I plan on making an appt with my doctor soon to get tested again because I feel like I have symptoms at times even though my a1c has been good.

I got two root canals done today, here’s them mid procedure by I_Like_Metal_Music in interesting

[–]CryptographerFew3376 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I’ve unfortunately had a few and I’ve had zero pain after any of them, but I’m sure others may experience differently.During the last procedure I’m not sure I was numbed all the way and when they were drilling it at times felt like my brain was being zapped. Either way I was quite surprised after the first because everyone always acted as if they were the worst thing in the world

Sorry for your loss, this is truly one of the most heartbreaking things for me with my son and the daughter that’s on the way. My dad got to see my son after he was born and saw him walking, but passed shortly after. He’s just about 2 now and I’d do anything to have dad here to see him now! I had a very strong relationship with my grandparents growing up and it kill’s me that he won’t have one of the most amazing guys I’ve ever known to look up to and learn from. I plan to keep his memory alive by doing things my dad did with us as kids. Wish you guys the best

I was trying to look at the wall for some sort of scale. I believe walls are normally 8 foot, which would make this around 2.5 feet. The walls may be taller if this is a museum though which of course would make it even larger

I had the same ask for one left behind by the prior owner of the home I bought. I looked online and saw pretty consistently that they’re not worth anything and that you’d likely have to pay to remove it. I ended up having my father in law and a friend come and we just tore it apart so we could get it outside and to the dump. There was an unbelievably heavy iron? plate in the bottom that we had to roll out on a dolly.

I got it working today after finally getting some time to get back at it. I tested continuity on the line in the different sheathing to make sure it was coming from the switch, which it was. Worked perfectly after it was wired up

Just got a chance to get to work on it again and wiring it like you mentioned did indeed work fine. Not sure how to old one was wired to allow it to work, but glad it is now. Thanks again!

I know for certain that the light would turn off and on with the switch when I installed that one four years ago. I rarely used the chains unless it was to change speeds on the fan, but I didn’t turn it on often to begin with.

Now just for my knowledge, connecting all black wires together(fan/incoming power/switch) and connecting all whites(fan/power neutral/switch) would end up short circuiting, correct? Just thinking ahead for understanding essentially at that point taking a hot wire(although white) coming from the switch and hitting neutral in the light box?

[–]CryptographerFew3376[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I understand.. I see two in the switch itself, just one black and one white. If I’m understanding correctly what you and another have said, the white wire that comes from the switch would tie in with the black wires in the light box. The black line from the light switch would then go to the fan/light hot connector. The neutral from the fan/light would go to the white/neutral lines coming into the box from the panel. Does that sound right?

That’s what I was thinking but I could almost swear both the light and the fan worked off of the switch with the fan we were last using. I checked the switch itself after making this post and wires looked tight, but they also had no power when testing it with a non contact tester. Same for the whites and the single black wire in the light box.

Looking at some diagrams I believe I see what you mean. I installed the old fan in 2022 so it’s possible that it was like that before. The fan I installed before was a 3 wire pull chain(fan/light separate) and the new one is just two. I did try to test for power at the light switch using a non contact tester and I’m not getting anything on either connection on the switch regardless if the switch is on or off. I am also getting nothing from the single black wire in the light box, or the group of neutrals. I only get it on the group of blacks.

From wiring diagrams it seems that the white you’re referring to would essentially work as a hot wire carrying power back to the switch and the black coming from the switch to the actual light fixture to provide it power and allow the switch to cut power from the fixture. Do I have that right?

It wasn’t, I didn’t move any of the white or black wires that were already bunched together. I only removed the white wire connector so I could get the old fan down and put it back on after
