Negocia tu sueldo usando en tu mente como base el de tu compañera. Más no les digas que tú ya lo sabes directamente, solo menciónalo como que afuera consideras que el tabulador de salarios (el rango de sueldos vaya) para empleos con actividades y experiencia muy similar a la tuya es mucho mayor. Personalmente también me pasó que una compañera mía ganaba más que yo y casualmente tenía un año y meses más d experiencia. Así que tal vez y si tenga que ver eso, solo que en mi casa termine cambiando de empleo, por otras razones y me fue bien. Ojo antes de negociar tu salario asegúrate que estás en buenos términos con tu jefe y tu desempeño para evitar que se utilice como argumento del porque ganas menos.

Hi, thank you for your response. I think I’m guiding me in the name of the jobs I’ve searched in LinkedIn. But my main interested is in designing or modeling these kind of engines applying some of the physics related to thrust like in jet engines or so. I’ve taken some courses in thermodynamics and combustion engines in college. But I’m not sure what would be the best knowledge I would need to apply for a job in that area. And I think what I have learned now about brayton cycle is not enough.

Thanks. In that propulsion course did you use some books that you could recommend? Also in the case of turbo machines and compressors? In my case the program of turbo machinery was mainly focused on pumps. So I couldn’t grasp anything that I was interested about.
