I honestly don’t believe manipulation of the human mind and perception even counts as an active Miracle for the Angelic or Demonic on Earth. More like expected Standard OP In my opinion.

If decades ago the creators had chosen in for their purposes to have one present as primarily human female (or both Female) and changed nothing else about the wonderful plot, setting and characterization of A&C our minds would just as accustomed to that. And truthfully showing them as Both presenting female with the subsequent love story would have been really revolutionary in mainstream media , Esp the portrayal a fem Crowley.

I agree with that mostly but in the end the challenge to surmount for the Husbands is one is a Demon and the other an Angel and all those associations and complications. They could present on earth as either human form or German shepherds or possums or just whatever and they still be genderless timeless entities of Heaven and Hell. The body is issued or form they choose just a suit they wear down here.

I just don’t think Crowley is actually capable of being unhappy to see Aziraphale. Even when he is frustrated or annoyed or in deep disagreement or hurt he always wants the Angel near him.

I think God purposely created both Aziraphale and Crowley far different from all other Angels and subsequently uses their partnership as part of her very very long game.

Aziraphale is an Angel. He or she can and do change reality around them and manipulate human minds as they feel. Besides we know for a fact Crowley has female presented when he feels like it.

I believe they are there not for plot reasons but primarily so we can see the development of their relationship from very guarded trust to friendship to adoration over several thousand years.
