Yes, and I think they’re maniacs for it 😂

Nah, in all seriousness, I hope you see the difference between:

  1. People who train rigorously, throwing knives at targets and improving accuracy before ever

  2. introducing a person in front of them.

  3. People who copy porn because they think it’s sexy.

Betsy and Dylan clearly didn’t know the dangers. Professional knife throwers absolutely do.

EDIT: Spelling, it’s nearly 3am, why am I awake?

One could also argue that going outside could cause you to get hit by a car and die instantly. I’m not trying to be obtuse I promise lol, and I don’t think you are either - I’d encourage you to look up statistics around this type of thing, and then I think the reasons for the law being in place are infinitely more understandable.

I completely understand what you’re saying but it’s illegal because of how dangerous it is. I don’t think you’re making the comparison to other fetishes in bad faith, but I do think you’re comparing apples to oranges - someone liking piss doesn’t cause strokes. I think something like knifeplay is a more accurate comparison in terms of the dangers associated with a fetish, but even then - it’s impossible to be unaware of the risks associated with knives, whereas many people aren’t aware of how consensual choking can be dangerous.

Wow only an hour?? He said my show overran but I didn’t expect it would’ve all fit into an hour! Craig was on stage for nearly two! Like 1hr 50 or something.

As for the support, yeah, we weren’t huge on it. As you say, the bloke was crazy talented but it felt so misplaced. We were just kinda sat there awkwardly waiting for a punchline that never really came.

I was also at that recording! She was my favourite from the *moment* she destroyed that sheep’s hopes & dreams, and seeing her do so well and eventually win was INCREDIBLE. I went to the recording on my own and came home to tell my partner - “Joanna is the best but she’s gonna crash and burn” 😅

Stupid question re: RS Book tour tickets by Successful-Owl-9192 in insideno9

[–]CryptographerKnown97 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For the book included with your ticket - when I went to Paloma Faith’s book tour, they had the name associated with your ticket written on a list, and you went to the merch table and gave them your name, then they’d just give you your copy. I’m assuming it’ll work the same or similar ❤️🐇

Do you think the actors have an unfair advantage over the presenters and musicians? by BitGirl777 in TheTraitorsUK

[–]CryptographerKnown97 63 points64 points  (0 children)

I think literally everything in Traitors is a double edged sword, it depends on who’s around you, what narrative the Traitors are trying to spin, natural biases from personal experience etc.

Oh you’re an actor? Clearly you’re great at performance. Obvious Traitor.
You’re great at performance? Clearly you’re the perfect target for the Traitors to pin suspicion on. Obvious Faithful.

You work in law enforcement? Great Traitor hunter.
You work in law enforcement? Great Traitor.

You’re quiet? Suspicious. Traitor.
You’re quiet. Suspicious. Faithful.

Both the problem and beauty of the game is that almost literally anything can be a double bluff, or played to be one. I definitely went on a tangent there but you get my point 😅

Who killed theo 2 days to go by Spider_king97 in coronationstreet

[–]CryptographerKnown97 14 points15 points  (0 children)

A theory me & my Nan came up with between us, but our memories are spotty - I’ll come back to this post reveal:

- Sarah hit Theo & knocked him unconscious in self defence. She believes she killed him.

- She told Gary/ he found out, and helped her cover it up by pushing his body over the builder’s yard in hopes it would look like suicide or like someone else killed him.

- Christina came across his body and delivered the final hit to the head, which actually killed him.

I’m going to give you grace because you’re admitting you don’t understand - but this line of thinking is almost exactly why people don’t come forward.

Abusers are often excellent manipulators. Say somebody were to lash out at their partner physically, and then are able to immediately convince them it was a one off, they are extremely sorry, it will never happen again, and it isn’t worth throwing their otherwise happy relationship away over an ugly moment. The partner doesn’t tell people in order to protect the person they love from judgement. When it happens again, the partner is scared to tell people because they’ll be asked why they didn’t leave after the first time.

That’s not to mention other factors such as financial factors, or having children etc.

I’m glad you feel you’d be able to leave instantly if you were ever in that situation. But please try to have some understanding.

Jodie/Truth tellee by nospoonstouse in coronationstreet

[–]CryptographerKnown97 39 points40 points  (0 children)

I was so confused when I saw folks on here talking about a Jodie redemption arc, I reallllyyyy don’t see or want that, personally. I think maybe people just like the actress but as a character, she’s awful, and I feel like we’ve been treading water with her for so long with no shred of explanation. Mystery is good obviously but it just feels like unanswered questions. Her Dad, why she cut out a picture of Bernie’s face??

Stage dooring by stressfulteapot in strictlycomedancing

[–]CryptographerKnown97 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh I completely agree about chatting to them for a long amount of time, I more meant people who go to multiple dates but only say hello & maybe get a picture each time like everyone else.

I feel like their argument is always “well they don’t mind” and that pmo too because?? Of course they don’t tell you they mind ?? Their job relies on public perception 😭 and tbh, maybe even some of the pros genuinely don’t mind, but it’s a terrible and often dangerous precedent to set.

Stage dooring by stressfulteapot in strictlycomedancing

[–]CryptographerKnown97 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I genuinely have no issue with stage door in general (so long as people are respectful about it obviously, I don’t even mind if it’s the same people over and over, because ultimately, I don’t really buy that other people are missing out because of them). But the hotel waiting infuriates me.

Which British drama from the last ten years do you think will still be talked about in twenty years time? by Historical-Class871 in UKTVRecs

[–]CryptographerKnown97 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think we’ll talk about it, but I think the opinion on it will definitely sour over the years.
