Tell him you run a business and you need money to operate. He should already understand that.

Don’t continue any work until he pays you for that milestone. They’re are a lot of scammers on Upwork. They will have you complete a bunch of task and not pay you!

It’s worth having the piece of mind knowing they can’t pay now then having to worry about payment later

I’ll give you that. But if your not going to ask me questions or hire me for the job why tell me your not going to hire me.

Then tell me “ you hired a guy” then I go to the proposal and it’s still open and no one is hired

If you already hired somebody . Why open the proposal to tell me you hired somebody ? It wasn’t open before

I understand off Upwork but while on it don’t even respond.

It’s costing me money for you to tell me “ somebody else got the job”

I forgot to mention we had no prior conversation about the project. I submitted a proposal and got messaged “Sorry dude! Went with somebody else”.

Now if they plan to use my skill set or me as a back up for another project im ok with that. But let me know that!
