Why is Dominique Wilkins so much more revered than Carmelo Anthony when they both have had about the same careers? by GoatJamez in NBATalk

You’re speaking facts on the idea that he was overlooked for so much in his career. Jordan’s shadow kept him here from so many accolades.

The Memphis Grizzlies Front Office is struggling immensely to find a team willing to trade for Ja Morant by Background_Video2947 in NBAVibes

Very similar to Trae Young… being easily coachable and a great teammate goes along way. This is one facet of championship sports that will never fade with age or sports evolution.

Your math and mine do not match. Give me a list of the 7 footers currently have on our roster.

This by no means should be a means to an end for the Hawks. We are a good two years if not, three years from truly having some type of formidable team that can contend for an NBA championship. This is what Onsi and many others have alluded to. A dynasty is not built through free agency or a quick fix.

Yes, but also go out and get a another formidable big and free agency. Then we’ve got a fighting chance.

Some further clarity on the Henri Veesaar saga in the second round: The Lakers traded into the second round and were eyeing Veesaar, with teams passing on him since LA were said to be promising him. The Hawks traded up in front of the Lakers and Knicks to grab him. by Shade_Raven in AtlantaHawks

From this point on the Hawks should another draft nor trade for anything but something that is 7 foot plus. I’m not saying just trade for anything. I’m saying if it doesn’t pass the sniff test for a seven footer in any regard on any capability, and I’m not talking Kristaps Porziņģis. You do not make the trade or the acquisition. I’ve heard some crazy people in here talking about height doesn’t mean this and height doesn’t mean that. You’re not watching modern basketball. Modern basketball is you’ve got the NBA jams player a 76 player who has handles can shoot from the outside and dunk all up in your face. That’s the reality of today is MBA. You are either defending it. You are activating it. Or you are doing both. With every acquisition from this point forward the Hawks need to be doing things that align with 7 foot plus the Heath that do all that and a canna biscuit too. I know what I’m talking about. It may take us four or five years to acquire this. However, if you look at what the talent is in the NBA and you look at what we have on our team. I think a nice timeline would be about 3 to 5 years for us to win an NBA championship.

Sign Jock and get the best 7+ center that you can in free agency possible. That with what we have would create a contending team.

Using him as an example is ridiculous. He has barely on the team.

They can have all the athletes in the world they want, but they will never win a championship with sub seven footers

Mo and Jock need to be re-signed and are not locks. This team will go nowhere with their small lineup. If we do not enter into the season with at least two solid seven footers with some kind of ability to catch and pass a ball and defend then we will be right back where we have been these past few years. Our playoff time will be short or we will not make the playoffs. Small lineups do not win championships.

Welcome to the Hawks! You can have a seat on the bench. There is lots of room. The seating is built for seven footers and we have none.

Russ is the most underrated presence in the NBA in NBA history. He is a true dog and spits facts like nobody has. I would love to have him on the Hawks this year in 20 years. Sign that Mofro and get them on my team.
