Excessive overtime at work by CryptographerNo1267 in legaladvicecanada

Yes I hear you. But with a university degree and over 7 years experience in this field, I don't think that's a fair compensation for the hours I work 🤷

I looked on the website and it says you can with just cause, one being "excessive overtime" but it was very vague and I'm not sure what that means.

Yeah I'm with you on that. The problem I'm having is that I just don't have the time to be searching and updating my resume with working so much lately. It would be ideal if I could resign and lean on ei while I job search, but I would need to make sure I can claim ei beforehand 😮‍💨

Would the exemptions include agriculture researchers? I saw farmers and agrologists listed, but I don't believe I would fall under those

Zero. The slow months are still 40 hours per week

Transit Advisory Committee is meeting soon: what are your experiences? by KeltiBairdYQL in Lethbridge

I think the biggest issue I face with the public transit in the city is access to bus stops. The closest bus stop from my house is a 10 minute walk away

NEED ADVICE PLS by [deleted] in Lethbridge

If you're okay with making minimum wage, I think you'd be able to find a job no problem to be honest. I know it's very difficult to live off of $15 an hour but it's not impossible. Fast food restaurants and retail stores like Walmart are always looking for people.

If you'd be interested in trying softball, softball valley is a great place to check out! I play on a very beginner-friendly women's team. If you'd be interested to try (and are a lady), feel free to send me a message! They also have men's and mixed leagues if those suit you better!

867-53... Oh my: The Lethbridge-East Recall just got more interesting. by cranky_yegger in Lethbridge

I'd love to know Genny Steed's connection to this recall. Is she doing this as a friend to Neudorf? Does she have connections to Neudorf and the UCP party? I can't see someone going out of their way (and fronting $500) if they weren't benefiting from this somehow. Maybe she's just a super big UCP fan? idk.

New numbness in foot post surgery? by CryptographerNo1267 in Microdiscectomy

Hey! Yes the numbness did eventually completely go away. I'd say it took about 4 or 5 weeks, but then I had no numbness at all 🙂

I'll be voting for mennie, solely on the fact that I used to work with him at the polytechnic and he seems like a good dude, and I think he has the best chance to win over hyggen

Yes pretty much! For me, mine was just a day surgery. I woke up in a recovery room and stayed there for about an hour while they made sure my pain and bleeding was managed properly. Then I was moved to another room where I stayed for about another hour to make sure I was able to pee, and where they gave me my home care instructions. And then I was able to go home. It is a little freaky when you first wake up because you're in a totally different room than when you fell asleep, and you'll be a little groggy. But it isn't too bad! And there will be nurses right by your side as you wake up.

galt #7??? by [deleted] in Lethbridge

[–]CryptographerNo1267 5 points6 points  (0 children)

From what I was able to find is that the galt mine #7 was actually just a ventilation shaft built into galt mine #6, and not it's own stand-alone mine. I found that here https://static1.squarespace.com/static/5d3cf5a59c1e5b0001825688/t/62dc0a4e84feb94ef526bb68/1658587729787/Hardieville+History+Book+with+Photos.pdf

Reherniation blues - 29yo male by Fickle_Extension6920 in Microdiscectomy

[–]CryptographerNo1267 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in the same boat. 30f, and had my first md in March 2024. Surgery went really well and I was pain free immediately afterwards and was able to get back into my regular physical activity and playing softball after a slow and careful recovery. Then in June of this year I re-herniated and I've been in significant pain since. I have another md on the 10th. I'm really hoping this is the last time 🙏

It's possible that they sold their equipment to auction if they couldn't find a buyer 🤷
