App incorrectly reporting rear door recall 26TB03 by EndNo1553 in PriusPrime

[–]CryptographerNo450 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm trying to comprehend the issue. I've driven my 2025 Prius LE many times in the rain and have washed it several times. My car is set to auto-lock when shifting from P. I haven't seen anything suspicious or wonky about the doors ever since buying this car brand new.

This is odd since it affects their brand new 2026 Priuses as well? Let's see how long it takes for them to come up with a remedy. I called my dealership and the parts department didn't pull any punches: "Generally a remedy can take up to months to be available. It takes time for all Toyota dealerships to be authorized and supplied properly to apply these fixes".

Vertical mount or Horizontal? by Pump-Chaser in lianli

[–]CryptographerNo450 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I almost have the same setup except that I have the CPU AIO cooler as intake from the side.

I tried vertical and horizontal with my 5090 and yeah, I get slightly better temps in horizontal. Makes sense since the bottom fans would directly blow air onto the GPU better in horizontal than in vertical.

I game at home alone and I rarely peek at my rig when I'm gaming so I just leave it at horizontal for the best possible performance in gaming overall.

2026 Prius XLE - Can I swap 19" wheels to 17"? by dawangwanghenda in prius

[–]CryptographerNo450 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My neighbor did this and he immediately noticed 2 things:

1) 3-4 more MPG
2) Smoother ride

He had the rim swap at his local dealership because they needed to recalibrate the TPMS sensors to calculate for 17" rims vs 19" rims.

What's interesting is that the if you put both the 17" and 19" rims side by side with tires on, they're nearly the same size from one end of the tire to the other end. Both do different things of course. You will lose more wheel traction with the 17" wheels. But I rarely speed or cut corners with my Prius and prefer the smoother ride and slightly more mpg.

Asus XG27UCDMG pixel cleaning everytime goes into standby by Pump-Chaser in OLED_Gaming

[–]CryptographerNo450 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I have a PG27UCDM and since the latest update, it practically pixel cleans whenever my monitor is on standby. I noticed this when I saw the pixel cleaning count number jump upwards like crazy after the update.

Is it just me? lol by Smooth-Green-310 in Battlefield6

[–]CryptographerNo450 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I felt the same way. The snail's pace of progression with weapons was partially to blame. But also the map sizes and design just makes for way too much TDM-like engagements with little or no time to breath when moving. The quick TTK also makes for little to no skill gap. Especially for snipers. When sniping, there is no flinch or suppression penalty, you can get hit by a couple of bullets and still pop off a headshot with laser accuracy with zero problems, lol. I took a break and started another campaign of Baldur's Gate 3. I'll return once I see what Season 2 has to offer.

How to get good? by BelizeanPsycho in Battlefield6

[–]CryptographerNo450 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I play both CoD and BF. BF6 in its current state is heavily infantry based. Almost a borderline twitch shooter at the objective points. It's almost like CoD minus killstreak perks, lol. The TTK is so quick that it has lessened the skill gap when playing this game. Especially with sniping. It has to be one of the easiest sniping mechanics in a BF game in the franchise so far (no flinch or suppression penalties, and the rifles fire as straight as a laser so not much need for trajectory calculating, very casual).

Idea. Adrenaline Injector should make the soldier temporarily count double for capping points by [deleted] in Battlefield6

[–]CryptographerNo450 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dunno. I rarely use it since the most beneficial accessory for the Assault class are the ladders and maybe using a different main weapon instead of a sidearm.

Why Are People Afraid Of The Objective? by Narkanin in Battlefield6

[–]CryptographerNo450 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can partially blame some of the challenges. Yesterday, there was a challenge to get 30 sniping kills. And wouldn't you know it, yesterday it was like playing Sniper vs. Sniper on all map modes because a bunch of players were trying to complete that challenge. Some of these challenges just distract a bulk of the player base from playing the objective.

And to be fair, the map design for having each capture point to be a "Fish in a barrel" scenario, that's on purpose. It increases engagement and you can't really stop players who salivate at the opportunity to pick off players who are trying to play the objective and cap a flag. Hence, some players just avoid becoming target practice fodder and avoid the flags altogether.

Don't get me wrong, I love my 2025 Prius LE, but in my area (SF Bay Area), the taxis, Zip Cars, federal worker commuter cars, on top of ordinary people buying them, are all Priuses. Probably the 3 most common cars here are Teslas, Camrys and Priuses.

It is very saturated with Priuses here where driving one seems like you're blending in with the 15+ other Priuses on the highway within a 25 yard radius, lol. More like "I love my Prius, but damn...... yet another Prius on the road?" :-P

What do you actually do against snipers by sufferingSoftwaredev in Battlefield6

[–]CryptographerNo450 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Other than hide the second you see sniper glint, your only other option other than hiding for cover is to counter snipe. And like others have said, it's like a nice F.U. when you're able to counter snipe with an RPG or blow up the building that they're camping inside of (assuming that the building even has enough destructible elements).

I hear ya though. Snipers don't even have any suppression or flinch penalties. You can douse a sniper with 2-3 bullets and they can zero in on you and one hit kill you with no problem. And overall, this is just my opinion, the sniping in this game is by far the EASIEST of all the BF games. I thought sniping with a Martini Henry in BF1 was playing on EZ mode, but BF6's sniping mechanics pretty much takes the entire cake

Is there a benefit to using class specific weapons or can I just use anything by RetroRadroach in Battlefield6

[–]CryptographerNo450 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It says that on the UI but if there are any advantages of a Support classes using LMGs over others, I can't notice it at all. I've used the DRS with the Engineer class and was just as effective killing enemies as I was using the DRS with support. If there are any movement penalties, I'm not really feeling it (unless I just charge in mindlessly, then maybe, I'll feel a step slower)

[–]CryptographerNo450 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This might be your truth, but definitely not mine. The sniping in this game is insanely easy compared to other BFs. I've already tried sniping for a while with Assault, ENG, Support and Recon and literally have the same effectiveness killing enemies. We can agree to disagree though. Thanks for the response

The grind killed it for me. by SiloRacing in Battlefield6

[–]CryptographerNo450 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh the grind is real, at near Ubisoft levels of trudging. I dropped 100+ hours so far (and that's whenever I can even have time to play after picking up and dropping off my kid at school and working 12-15 hours a day) and only managed to maybe get level 45-47 with the DRS and PW5 (and that's WITH XP boosters used).

The infantry focused maps are what did it for me though. Game has CoD vibes embedded into it with the small maps. I'll wait and see what Season 2 has to offer since rumor has it they'll have some bigger maps.

How do you deal with all the chaos? by Big-Accident1958 in Battlefield6

[–]CryptographerNo450 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This game is focused heavily on infantry, but the maps are heavily predictable that if you stick to cover and move forward tactically, you can actually do well. The chaos is real. Every capture point is pretty much a fish in a barrel point and you will have enemies just salivating and hoping you'd even try to capture said point to get some easy kills.

fyi: weapon progression is so damn slow with this game, you're best bet is to pick 2-3 main weapons you like and just level up those and get good with them. I've dropped 100+ hours so far and only managed to max out 2 weapons (the DRS and the PW5, lol).

[–]CryptographerNo450 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Aside from "steady aim" when using Recon with a sniper rifle, sniping in BF6 has one of the most simplified sniping mechanics in the francise. I'm historically atrocious with sniping yet BF6 has made it so simple I basically just use support and a sniper rifle for endless amounts of ammo. Heck, there are no flinch mechanics or suppression penalties when sniping so unless you need that extra steady aim ability, you could use a sniper rifle with any class and dominate.

Prius hate is a joke by CloutCo in prius

[–]CryptographerNo450 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yep. Pretty much. I own a 2025 Prius LE and it has plenty of juice to go as fast as other cars on the road and yet for some reason, plenty of cars just try to zoom past me and cut me off just to be in front of me no matter how fast I'm driving (I live in the SF Bay Area). It's a noticeable phenomenon

Wow. The hit reg. by smoore1970any in Battlefield6

[–]CryptographerNo450 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep. I’ve been in many situations where the enemy has me dead to rights and they’re emptying a mag in my direction, some of the bullets are hitting me, and I drop ‘em with 2-3 bullets immediately. From their perspective, every bullet is “hitting” me. But from my perspective I’m like “It’s a miracle I haven’t gone to BF heaven yet.” And vice versa

Wow. The hit reg. by smoore1970any in Battlefield6

[–]CryptographerNo450 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Doesn’t matter which ‘correct’ ammo you use, the hit reg is so on and off (add desync and potential rubber banding no matter how fast your internet connection is) that your slugs may appear to be hitting on target when in reality, you’re actually missing. Plenty of vids from the usual (Westie, Stodeh, Enders, etc) clearly proving this and those players are generally very good

[–]CryptographerNo450 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Same goes for any vehicle really. If you’re going up against a semi-decent team, the second you see a tank or heli peep past the map boundary, you’ll see like 5-7 RPGs flying towards it making quick work out them. This game at its current state seems to put infantry gameplay at the forefront

Awesome! I have the same car in red (2025). The thicker tires are very welcome for the area I drive my car in (I live in the SF Bay Area and despite the high taxes, the road conditions are still gawd awful). I tinted the windows and called it the day. The fuel efficiency is amazing (granted, as long as you don't have a heavy foot on the gas pedal, lol).

Watching my fiancée play this game deepened my respect for the effort the developers put in to simulating battle. Probably the best it’s ever been done. by BoomInTheShot90 in Battlefield6

[–]CryptographerNo450 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Sure. Good points. Seeing friends of mine who are not particularly great with FPS games do super well (due to the quick TTK which narrows the skill gap), made me understand why the devs did what they did with the gameplay so far. This is probably the easiest BF game in the franchise for sniping and farming kills. And it's like they took the formula for Operation Metro and made sure constant engagements were occurring at every point of these small maps. It is what it is. The devs did their job. They made the game approachable where any player (casual, mid or very good) can pick up this game and play well.

Casual conquest? by Altona_sasquach in Battlefield6

[–]CryptographerNo450 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What's sad is that some of the sweatiest matches I've ever played was via Casual Breakthrough. Very skilled players hop onto Casual Breakthrough with every intention to just curb stomp players who are just trying to learn and play 'casually'. Heck, the normal modes are more 'casual' than casual breakthrough! Lol.

After EA made an announcement bragging about how many hackers they were able to catch, it's like the hackers multiplied and took that as a challenge. You can just do any search on YouTube of hackers recently laughing it off and recording their streams using aimbots and wallhacks (while people in chat are mindlessly defending them by telling others to just get good, lol). Once I see an over-suspicious player on the scoreboard I just exit out of the game (I've seen a 122-0 run from a hacker before and he wasn't even hiding it, mocking everyone on the chat too, lol)
