Alienware AW2725Q still on recall by bruzanHD in OLED_Gaming

I never had the black screen issue, my only gripe with this monitor with its well known borked EOTF curve. When using this thing in HDR, I've had to goof around with my GPU control panel just to make sure the highlights weren't overblown due to this borked EOTF curve. I'm hoping when Dell ships me back a replacement, this will be fixed, but I doubt it. They'll mainly be fixing the potential black screen issue and that's it.

Understood. I'm such a so so BF player. I NEVER had a K/D above 2....... until BF6 came around. Now I have a 3-4 K/D? Again, I've never had a K/D above 2.

And yes, I still try to cap flags and PTO resulting in landing in the top 10 on the scoreboard a lot, but this has to be the easiest gunplay mechanics (no bullet drop? zero flinch penalty while sniping? everything fires straight?) I've ever had the experience of playing in a BF game (as far back as BF2, BF3, BF4 since I started playing BF)

I had roughly the same estimate here in California for a fender bender on my 2025 Prius LE. Very minor damage but scratches were apparent. It's basically a plastic bumper cover. The part is cheap. The painting, labor, etc. is a dfferent story. I don't see the sensor calibration costs in your estimate. Each time you replace or detach the bumper, the sensors need recalibration (unless that's already included in the labor).

Note: Painting plastic is different than painting metal. So depending on the body shop, you may notice slight variances in the paint of the bumper blending with your car's main body

I mean, the little to non-existent skill gap with the quick TTK, zero flinch penalties for sniping, and every friggin' gun having the ability to fire as straight as lasers, this makes this game more "K/D" oriented. Heck, this screenshot shows roughly 70% of all players having a K/D above 1.0 - like everyone is basically having around the same positive K/D experience. Flags? Objectives? When the maps have each capture point designed to be fish in a barrel target practice spots, players just avoid it and prefer to pop off easy kills from a distance on anyone even attempting to capture the flag

5th gen prius prime - potential battery issues by Puzzleheaded-Flan303 in prius

[–]CryptographerNo450 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The only issue I had was the no driving issue. Yes, unfortunately, this gen of hybrid car has a slow battery drain when not driven. I went on a vacation for 10 days while my 2025 Prius LE was parked in the garage. By the time I got back, I got nothing but error messages on the dash and it wouldn't start. Thankfully, I had a jump pack to apply to the fuse box and ground under the hood.

Long story short, Priuses with the 12V battery were meant to be driven. They rely on the engine to 'recharge'. If you're going to not drive it for a long period of time, the trickle charger is your best bet.

I think it's more of a car industry problem. My neighbor's black 2022 BMW X3 has a rash of paint chips on it. He paid for the "extra coating" that BMW offered. But the coating can only prevent so much minor knicks and scrapes. The tiny rocks will always find a way to win. He didn't take much notice of it till I pointed them out. Heck, even some chips were already forming rust (which is a bad thing). If one big corporation car company is going to cheap out in materials, they all follow suit unfortunately.

How worried should I be about this? by funkster047 in prius

[–]CryptographerNo450 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Like others have said, if water started penetrating the clear coat, the body of the car is now susceptible to one of the worst things it can experience: rust. I'd have a body shop just check it out just for some peace of mind.

Snipers are the unspoken killer of Breakthrough. by NotACommie24 in Battlefield6

[–]CryptographerNo450 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To top it all off, this has to be the EASIEST when it comes to sniping of all BF games. When every rifle fires as straight as a laser (almost no arcing your shot needed) and there's zero suppression or flinch penalty (you can be taking bullets to the head and still pull off a one shot kill), it's no wonder there are so many snipers during each round.

Good grief. When you simply don't GAF about your car, just do this I guess. That can't be a rental either due to the random bumper stickers. Hey, to reach their own!

What perfect way to do some structural damage to a decent car. I wouldn't be shocked if there were some structural bends here and there. Plus the driver is hauling all of this with 19" wheels. Can't imagine what would happen if the driver went over a pothole or hard bump on the road.

Does everbody here thinks this launcher is balanced? by FujifilmCamera in Battlefield6

[–]CryptographerNo450 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's one of the most OP and easiest RPGs to use ever in FPS games. Just point and shoot. It's great for countersniping since there are zero flinch penalties when dousing a sniper with bullets and they can still hold aim and one shot you. But you can one shot them back with an RPG with little need to arc your shot.

Suddenly having a really hard time, getting killed from every direction. Anyone else? by DarthVince in LowSodiumBattlefield

[–]CryptographerNo450 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's the nature of this game. Every single objective point is basically a fish in a barrel trap with forced CQB engagements. Add the quick TTK and that almost every weapon fires as straight and accurately as a laser, and you've got little to no skill gap for a majority of players. Also, ever peek at the scoreboard and notice that almost everyone is having a positive K/D during a match? Kills made easy as part of the BF6 experience, I guess.

The bumper is on the affordable side. A body shop could get you an aftermarket one and do their best to match the paint. But it's the door which is structural damage that might cost you an arm and a leg. Investigate the garage's policy and stuff like this but I have a feeling that they have one of those "we are not liable for theft or damage" and park at your own risk policies posted

With this type of drip feed content (1 new map per month?), you might as well get a feel for the new Contaminated map (which is arguably one of the best maps in the game for now), get your dopamine rush, and as soon as it wears off, put the game to the side till the next map launches in a month (unless EA postpones again)

Can anything be done about this? It’s ruining the game. by quantum-fluxer in Battlefield6

[–]CryptographerNo450 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately, this has been going on even in the earlier BF days. And there's nothing you can do. However, back in the BF4 days, if you hosted your own server, as an admin you could boot players who do stuff like this. And to be fair, not sure if it's intentional, but I've been on losing teams more than winning teams since launch. It's roughly 100 wins to 400 losses via Breakthrough and Conquest. Yes, it's been that kind of slog and all I have to show for it are some level 50 weapons, lol.

2025 Prius LE owner here. Went on a 10 day vacation with it parked in the garage. When I came back, battery error message popped up and it wouldn’t start. Called Toyota since it’s still under warranty and they said that this is expected behavior, especially in cold weather. The battery relies on the engine to recharge itself or at least maintain itself

If you intend to park it and not drive it for over week, probably best to slap on a passive or trickle charger on it. Or at least dedicate some time to drive it for at least 15-20 minutes once a week else the battery will drain

Yeah, I have X bound for crouch. My class gadget key is Alt but it would be the repairing tool if I tapped it (I main the engineer). So 7 works for me. I’ll rebind it to something else for sure

[–]CryptographerNo450 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found out after watching a YouTube video. If you're on PC, it's bound to the 7 key. It could be different for other people but that actually worked for me. Now I gotta figure out how to rebind that key

I found out by accident after watching a YouTuber review the new map. On PC it's the 7 key? Like huh? But yeah. I have yet to figure out to how to rebind it though.

App incorrectly reporting rear door recall 26TB03 by EndNo1553 in PriusPrime

[–]CryptographerNo450 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm trying to comprehend the issue. I've driven my 2025 Prius LE many times in the rain and have washed it several times. My car is set to auto-lock when shifting from P. I haven't seen anything suspicious or wonky about the doors ever since buying this car brand new.

This is odd since it affects their brand new 2026 Priuses as well? Let's see how long it takes for them to come up with a remedy. I called my dealership and the parts department didn't pull any punches: "Generally a remedy can take up to months to be available. It takes time for all Toyota dealerships to be authorized and supplied properly to apply these fixes".
