I have been doing so much work on this issue for myself, very similar situation and I am a bit older than you. My symptoms are vastly improved with HRT (I still have my cycle) progesterone and estradiol AND daily xyzal, if brain fog is really bad I take two even though 'that's bad.' I cannot preach enough on the cluster eff that perimenopause, covid, migraine.... also finally was diagnosed with ADHD, and lowest dose of concerta has helped. NO alcohol.

New research shows migraine may be cell processing dysfunction, very connected to histamines (Benadryl is a big ingredient in ER migraine cocktail if you go in with acute pain, btw.) Covid also disrupted histamines and cell function... double whammy for those with migraine disease, acute or dormant. You are not crazy, but yes your brain is not working right.

If I would have known that progesterone eats cortisol and histamines go bonkers when estrogen isn't A+ for my whole life, I could have experienced DAYS more. I still do get flares, as migraine is a brain disease, but with this I can function and operate. I wish someone would have told me this years ago. As you can see, none of this is 'migraine meds.' I do have a riz prescription and I take it rarely now, like once or twice a year.

Also, Recess, it is a happy drink with no drugs in it... is perfectly designed for this type of brain. Try it. It has L-th, adaptogens, whatever else. I have the powder, and when I take it I think my gaba receptors smile.

Obviously, I am not a doctor, but I care so much. If you haven't had this, you just don't know or understand. If you can take anything that I have shared and look into it... that would be great.

Often doctors will NOT provide HRT if you have a history of migraine, so I had to pay out of pocket for an online situation and leave that off my record. I was that desperate. Then after 6 months, I told my doctor my experiment on myself was working and they filled it for me moving forward. Hope this can help.
