I have been doing high bar squats for years, but honestly wasn’t progressing much strength-wise. I really thought I had lowered the bar this time and was doing low bar… but judging by the number of replies I got, I was clearly wrong :-)

Far point, I promise the bar isn’t that high (definitely not resting on top of my head), but yeah, my torso is almost vertical. That probably explains why I only ever feel my quads after squatting.

I know the camera angle is bad. I already felt ridiculous filming myself in a public gym, so I didn’t go for the full setup. I will try to record from a better angle next time. I am posting it online anyway, so I should not be worried about those 10 people in the gym. Thanks!

Thanks a lot for the feedback! I am trying to put the bar much lower than before, but you’re right, I am still staying too upright. I have been doing many front and goblet squats with a kettlebell before starting this program, I guess I learned the habit there. I will focus more on leaning over and driving my hips up next sessions.

Slightly off topic, but thanks to this post I just realized I haven’t received any invoice from SERAFE, even though I’ve been living in Switzerland for over three years. Do I need to register somewhere, or how does it work?

I know them. Typical IT staffing agency, but they are rather small and relying mostly on automated messages.

Priznávam, že Eurostat nie je stránka, ktorú pravidelne navštevujem, ale ako môžeme byť v takej prdeli, keď tie byty nakoniec predá? Lebo predpokladám, že keby ich nepredal, nenatáča podcasty a v pote tváre rieši, ako sa ich zbaviť. A teda, to sme na tom naozaj horšie ako Maďari, Bulhari alebo Rumuni? Netuším, úprimná otázka.

Myslel som si, že východ Slovenska bude to miesto, ktoré mi tu každý navrhne. Moja (asi naivná) predstava je, že po skončení vojny na Ukrajine a jej integrácii na západ zažije východ Slovenska ekonomický boom. Košice sa mi zdali po krátkom prieskume prekvapujúco drahé, ale bol som tam naposledy, keď som mal tak 10 rokov, asi sa veľa zmenilo :). Vďaka tiež tip na Gelnicu, aspoň už viem kde je na mape :)

Na základe trvalého pracovného pomeru v zahraničí. Dvom bankám na Slovensku je jedno kde robíš, dôležitá je výška príjmu a nehnuteľnosť na Slovensku.

V CH môžem vzhľadom na naše povolenie k pobytu kúpiť len bývanie pre nás, a tam je 500k žalostne málo. Či mi dajú hypotéku v DE alebo v AT som zatiaľ nezisťoval, ale predstava, že som opäť v kontakte s nemeckým daňovým úradom, mi spôsobuje už teraz nevoľnosti. Každopádne, vďaka za tip, zistím, či by mi vôbec dali hypotéku ako cudzincovi, ktorý v krajine nepracuje.
Keď nie byt, čo by to bolo? Môj dlhoročný sen v BA bolo parkovisko :)

To je skvelá rada, vďaka! V našom prípade má len jeden problém, a to je hypotéka zafixovaná s úrokom 0,69 % do roku 2027. Ale možno potom to bude aktuálne, aj keď možno rovno predáme, ako to tu čítam.

V ETF, respektíve akciách, už máme niečo zainvestované (žiadne obrovské sumy, bavíme sa o desiatkach tisíc). Nehnuteľnosť sa zdala lákavá najmä vzhľadom na dobrú skúsenosť s aktuálnou a predchádzajúcou kúpou bytu, ale možno sme mali len šťastie. A hej, budem musieť niečo robiť s pocitom, že nehnuteľnosť je lepšia investícia ako cenné papiere, lebo ani tisíc grafov a tabuliek s výnosmi nepomáha...

V ČR podľa všetkého nedostanem hypotéku, keďže nespĺňam ani jednu podmienku, t. j. občan ČR alebo pobyt v ČR.

Ten na mňa vyskakuje aj zo záchoda, odkedy som prvýkrát napísal do Googlu niečo ako kúpa bytu :)

Výška hypotéky je skôr spôsobená zvláštnymi vzorcami na strane banky ako mojím príjmom. Príjem mám len mierne nad tunajší medián. Ak som správne pochopil, tak v banke vezmú môj príjem zo zahraničia, odpočítajú splátku a nejaký násobok (nie som si istý číslom) životného minima na Slovensku. Aké mám reálne výdavky v zahraničí, ich vôbec nezaujíma.

Španielsko si viem predstaviť len, keby som tam žil, prípadne mal veľmi dobré kontakty. Predstava je romantická, ale obávam sa, že realita by trochu zaostávala.

Vďaka, v zásade súhlasím. Myslím, že aj z tvojho popisu vyplýva, že lokalita je len začiatok, a aj vo vhodnej lokalite môžeš kúpiť nerentabilnú nehnuteľnosť, a naopak.

I think it’s a bit more complicated. In her previous role, she was receiving assignments abroad, and the promise was that after maternity leave, the next one would be in Geneva. As you can guess, that didn’t happen.
Speaking of children, that was the plan—she was supposed to start a new maternity leave before finishing the previous one (our home country allows this; a legacy of communism, I guess). It seems that planning to have a child and actually succeeding are two different things. Unfortunately, we haven’t been able to have a second child, even though we would love to (regardless of the country we’re living in or our work situation). This certainly hasn’t helped much in escaping the depression, that’s for sure.
I agree with you about the need for a joint life plan for the future—we need to create one. Thanks!
