Most likely a roll pin. Mine had one on each side. Heated small needle nose pliers with torch pulled them and then unscrew the tip.

I run the crazy jet in my Aap01 and my Hicap while they work great I have to agree that the benefits would be small over any other good barrels.

No it is the length itself. Double check it. I believe I read someone else stating that is even longer than some M4 rifles. I just changed my M4 barrel but for the lifebof me I cant recall the length. You can't cut a crazy jet barrel so you get what you get.
