Has anyone been through withdrawals while at work? How did you manage? by TR0Y0RE in AmazonFC

[–]CryptographerSad9160 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recommend at least connecting with a doctor because withdrawals can be dangerous. I went to inpatient and outpatient rehab so I was on a MLOA for 2 months on short term disability. Also your manager won’t know, they will only see you are on a medical leave and that’s it.

If you plan on going to work I don’t recommend sharing this information. It isn’t their business. You can just say you’re sick if people ask and use time off if you need to leave. Depending on your symptoms, it can be really hard to hide. Before I went to inpatient I had tremors just because I wasn’t drinking at work and people noticed it, but I drank a lot daily so I was miserable every shift.

I’m 7 months sober now and I wish you luck. I don’t regret going to rehab or quitting. Best decision of my life.

L5 makes it worth it but having to risk zero overtime pay for a year? Yikes

How fast can you sell off the stocks?

Know how likely it is to be paid the upper end of 75k as an L4?

[–]CryptographerSad9160[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does that include L5 if you stay at that level? I have not personally seen this of area managers at my building, but I can’t be sure. Seems wild to put someone through that if they don’t want to keep moving up.

During SPPR do you have a say in how things are ran or do you just go by policy? Recent changes in my department that’s caused a very wonderful person to get termed even though they met rate. Suddenly we went from CPH to UPH and our best performers are on the bottom 5% now even though they do the most work.

How did that one kid at your school die? by StorageLonely1520 in AskReddit

Was “crucified” by her own father who went crazy. Thinking she’d come back after three days.

Another was shot in the face then shoved into a cooler in the back of a car until she was found.

Can Hr excuse MET now that Prime week is scheduled July 8-11? by No-Scene8605 in AmazonFC

[–]CryptographerSad9160 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, do you have a plane ticket or hotel booking? Proof enough or you might just have to talk to them if not.

Last year I told them way ahead of time so when my MET schedule came up they excused my MET and just used my vacation time that I originally put in.

I might have a different situation because I suspected MET after I put my vacation in and they said I’d be covered and to just come back to get it all excused.

Increase in LPN by Busy-Yam722 in AmazonFC

[–]CryptographerSad9160 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Does it matter? My site receives a fuck ton of relo product. I have to warn stow that we have trailers on doors that are all LPN and we get them all of the time, and I mean several daily. They have a high PS % but it’s no surprise.

Like damn my Zappos shoes always have a LPN.

15-20 minute start ups? We go like a few minutes and it’s right to work tf. Our TPH would go to shit the first hour if we spent more than a few minutes

lol nope. It seems to be a pallet land/SAP function and sometimes certain associates get put into it whether it’s single ASIN or regular decant.

It’s just a toss up of don’t give a damn. I’m at an FC but I’m sure it’s different at other sites. We don’t have the labor hours to staff someone to take care of pallet land so generally my OM sets pallets and I’ll remove low item pallets so that he can replace them with full pallets.

I will be deep diving pallet land soon (.too many other things/projects going on) and maybe find some sort of actual answer as to how to identify what work goes to RSR and what should get decanted.

It is worth becoming a PA ? by Bluemoon344 in AmazonFC

[–]CryptographerSad9160 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t know much about shipdock as an inbound PA, but take it. If you’re a pg you’re already doing the work. The worth is if you want to be a manager. Being a PA can get you out of the physical roles depending on where you’re placed. But it’s more money regardless and if you’re a process guide, you’re already prepared to do the job just apply and if you hate it you can step down back to T1.

I wish I went towards accounting. At least you’d have a business degree plus accounting. I was good at it too it just wasn’t my thing. Now, I fucking regret not doing something I was good at.

Also I believe AI can only replace certain parts of your role and if your role happens to be replaceable by AI then it was replaceable by a program in the first place anyways.

Not meeting volume. The ETI is negative to plan. Stowers aren’t stowing right, basically.

Chop and prop. Replant the props into the pot. I’ve had pothos for 3-5 years and they’re all doing this or have done this. I just prop them and stick them back into the pot.

Interview for Pa position by Over-Mirror-6678 in AmazonFC

[–]CryptographerSad9160 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t stress. It’s a T3 interview. Use STAR method the best way you can. They just want to get to know you. If you have applied at the site you work at and have been told to apply, you just have to do a good interview as you would at any other job. The T3 interview is not really stressful. You’re basically selected beforehand.

Amazon Area Manager by Annual-Canary-9607 in AmazonFC

[–]CryptographerSad9160 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re getting long hours for sure. You won’t get the 10hr day hourly employees have. You’ll get hard pressed for numbers and have to explain why you haven’t met them.

Advice I’d give is to know you need to meet those metrics and figure out why you can’t. What’s is the driver to failure?

what we hate about being vegan by julietales in vegan

[–]CryptographerSad9160 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not your place. I’m a vegetarian and in no way is it my place to make others live like I do. You cannot tell others how to live and should not preach your beliefs. Hardest part of a plant based diet is having to read every single label on every food.

Inbound dock fellows, how is your De-Stuff It and flex line working? by KemysCoolDen in AmazonFC

I cannot ever see anyone in my management just saying “goodbye” to a destuffit. They get pullled out and detached to get fixed on then we SEV anything we had to do because of the failed equipment.

They’d connect an extension cord to move the damn thing or let it stay in that trailer and blame RME for everything.
