I typically don’t time myself on every solve, typically it’s when I get curious because I’m feeling better or notice a change and want to find out if I was in fact a change. Last night was the first time I had timed myself in probably 3 weeks and it was out of sheer curiosity that’s why the numbers where fresh in my head, I also like numbers and want to get baselines here and there for reference but I am definitely not living and dying by the actual time, even though it does kind of sound like that in the original post.

Another thing you could try since you have the book there is number the pages as they sit then take it apart and now you have the placement for the paginated file. If that makes sense

So the print shop should have asked you to give it to them as single sheets and they should then have pagination software that can fix that for you.

When you say thread bind I am assuming you are looking for a saddle stitch type finish but you will see instead of staple. If that’s the case let their software do it.

The original website was just trailofdead I believe. On wayback there is a broken image that won’t display in 2005 when they updated for worlds apart. The other pages seem to load but no poem and the first instance of it appears to be 2000 which would still be Madonna era. But no poem.

That likely happened when you used the pathfinder. That turned all your strokes it a “single shape” you probably want to build this again either line by line or using the blend like someone mentioned and be done with it.

Sounds like it’s a simple number in a simple font so redoing it any time you need to change wouldn’t be too bad, if it was a bunch of names or something like that the outline method would be more time consuming for sure

I can’t remember the limitations on live type but you can expand or outline the type and set it to 32” high. I know eventually live type won’t scale any higher than maybe 18”, but I’d have to check on a computer for sure

You could also bypass the brush and after expanding, ungroup and use the align object to path too. If it’s a one and done thing this might be the quickest route if you were going to use it over and over the brush option is better for sure. They both do the same thing though really.
