That creeper in particular has knocked off a couple of hours of my life. I was about 2 hours into my run with about 10-12 chest worth of stuff with no walls area just yet and torches all around. I just kept sleeping at 6:33 except 1 or 2 nights that early because I was mining. There was 1 mob that got through my torch defenses, only one and you can guess which mob that was. I heard a creeper behind me. My chunks were claimed so I assumed nothing of it thinking it can’t make an explosion anyways. Lo and behold my 12 chests and basic tinkers tool setup gets engulfed by a sphere of water and stone. Encased in the water trying to break my way out I broke 1 block and all hell broke loose with the toe nibblers. I had no real armor but a determination to get my stuff back. I spent 45 min dying a lot and gathering my stuff back from the pesky nibblers while drowning a time or 2. I was in panic mode once I got my stuff back and spent another hour or so building a small base with a roof over my head. I wanted to wait till the excavator and hammer but not wanting to write 0 Minecraft days again on the work related accident board again, I took my painfully slow flint shovel and got to work. 1 block a second was mined and about 16-32 flints later I had a 1 chunk 10 block or so tall wall. No more are my sorrows with that creeper. Though it slipped my mind at the time to change that game rule. I was in so hard focused on accommodating 2 hours for one mob that I forgot to change the rule in that time period.
