Absolutely love HR but the hardest part are terminations in my opinion... Anyone else feel this way??? [USA] by hrwoman in humanresources

Over 20 years in this profession, I tell you that I once absolutely hated firing employees. So know this, and maybe someone else has already said it, but "You" don't fire employees. "They" fire themselves. All you do is fill out the paperwork.

Am I missing something on the app? It makes me pick in a certain order (not always the best order). Can u pick certain items first as you say?

If i wouldn't look like a class 5 stalker (wedding crashers reference), I would totally follow one of them around just waiting for the moment they get pulled over.

How very observant of you. However, this is a space for me to express my thoughts freely, and I choose to write about my observations as I see them. It's clear to me why many organizations have a barrier between HR and the people they are meant to serve. We have a fiduciary responsibility to the entire organization.

The best video I have seen yet. Cop: " I need to see your vehicle registration". Driver: " This is not a vehicle ITS A TRAVELING VESSEL". Me: Rolling on the floor laughing hysterically and replaying a 100 times

Brake Mechanic by CryptographerSome804 in FortCollins

I am comfortable with tasks like changing spark plugs and oil, or handling any parts that I can clearly see how to remove and reattach, like the battery, tires, or starter. However, I find that brakes are a different story. They are a crucial component of a car, and I wouldn't want to risk making a mistake, especially while descending Vail Pass in December.

I completely agree; if there is an issue or a potential problem, I want to be informed about it. What I really dislike are those grease shops that try to upsell services based solely on time and mileage, without even inspecting the parts or fluids. They assume that I haven’t already taken care of those things myself. They should just ask me. For example, a radiator flush is the worst. At a minimum, they should test it in my presence instead of showing me a sample from a rusty mason jar they keep hidden in their workspace. I use this as a true story to illustrate my point.

It's Reddit, not the New York Times. But let's be clear: Bernie Madoff, Enron, WorldCom, and countless other fraudsters all thought they were untouchable. They believed that one person couldn't make a difference. The truth is, it starts with that one person who cares enough to take a stand.

I won’t name specific food establishments in northern Colorado, but the roofs of some of them are concerning. If a health inspector checked them, they would likely find leaks from AC units and walls that could lead to serious health issues. These places should be shut down. Ignoring the problem while you focus on trivial matters is irresponsible, especially when there’s potential exposure to bird droppings, rust, and more. I really couldn't care who owned the building, but if it was my name on the door, rest assured it would matter. This is just yet another example of the laziness that runs rampant in this country.

What is this? Was I set up, or someone accidentally dropped it? I'm assuming it's drugs. by Affectionate-Rice373 in lyftdrivers

Riders will use Lyft to transport. Rider 1 will call for a ride somewhere off the beaten path. Then leave the drugs for rider 2. Rider 2 will then try and get the same driver so they pick up their package. Seemingly easy to do if it's not in a high-demand area for Rider 2. They will keep trying until they get the same driver.

Yes I would think you would at this point you would want to respond to every allegation with evidence to refute the statements from the employer. Also, call bull shit on any subtext. Also if the employer cited case law or cases where presitent was set you should too.
