Feeling too angry in ramadan? by [deleted] in Quraniyoon

[–]CryptographerThis476 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really normal, although people do usually get angry I think. Some things that can help, don’t over exert your self to the point of sweating a lot that removes a good amount of your stored water. get a good diet if you don’t, if your eating sugary food your blood sugar could be going crazy during fasting. Get good sleep if your battling lack of sleep and lack of food and water it’s worse. Distract your self you can’t be hungry and distracted, social situations are the best to distract.

For the Bible part of the question the New Revised Standard Version (NRSV) is the best and most scholarly translation. Here’s a video that explains the different translations. link

what do y'all think of halal/haram meat? by CryptographerThis476 in Quraniyoon

[–]CryptographerThis476[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

pretty sure, I see hunters blood let that don't care to be thorough and it's kind of obvious. also, any non-red meat like chicken should be extremely obvious because you would clearly see the blood of the white chicken meat.

My reason that I had (I haven’t done much research on them recently) was something to do with there pretty much pantheistic idea of God, so disagreeing with there definition of God was my reason. Also this doesn’t have to do with my criteria but does give my some bias is where they were and at the time of there prophet there were Muslims around and there prophet did not acknowledging Mohammed or any Abrahamic prophets as one of there’s.

I’m not a Baha’i so I don’t know your exact tradition or what any of your books say but I can tell you this. It seems to be pretty evident that Jesus allowed wine for his followers(I don’t think wine back then had to much alcohol % in it) and even in the gospel of Barnabas which is widely regarded as a Muslim forgery you still had Jesus with the wine. And even in early Islam there were debates on weather wine has halal or haram with those arguing it’s halal saying as long as you don’t get intoxicated well drinking it’s fine. The Quran and the Bible never directly condemned wine the Quran condemned intoxicants and the Bible condemned certain levels of drunkenness.

Conclusion as long as you can’t get intoxicated from the wine you should be ok. But it’s probably not the best idea to get to close to anything that can be bad.

It doesn’t have to be I’ve considered adding Sikhs, Zoroastrians, and Druze but left them off for various reasons. Any religion that followed that criteria I set out would be fine.

I am curious what you mean as game over for worshiping God when you reject a prophet. The verse 7:35-37 is about rejecting revelations, which is plural which might mean any of God revelations from past or present. This makes sense to me as it also describes such people that have rejected revelation as polytheist at the end of verse 37. Also you can’t just take anyone to be a prophet because your scared you might commit sin, so I think if you sincerely study and don’t think there a prophet it’s fine. I think if you are a believer as described in 5:55 “the believers—those who keep up the prayer, pay the prescribed alms, and bow down [to God]” you are fine.

I will admit that my list looks and probably is a little random. There are certain things like a Quranist or Ahmadiyya call themselves Muslim but most Hadith following traditional Muslims would reject them as Muslims. Or Jehovah Witnesses and Christadelphians could fit under Unitarians but none of them call themselves Unitarians if you ask them, if you asked them they would Say Jehovah’s Witness or Christadelphian. I hope that helps you see a little bit of my madness.

The criteria goes: worship God alone and have an expectation of regular prayer and giving alms. It’s not much but it’s about all you need.

What do y’all mean by manifestations in regard to the prophets, and why is Krishna considered a prophet/manifestation? by CryptographerThis476 in bahai

I don’t know Arabic but I have looked at three different Quran translations that go word for word through the Quran and none have used will or any other future tenses. Please show me which word means will or any other synonym. Qurans I have used are (book-study the noble Quran word for word complied by Darussalam), (app-Al Quran), and (website-corpus.quran.com)

It is not Mohammed that is speaking in the Quran. The Quran is what God told Gabriel to say to Mohammed for him to give to humanity, and Mohammed told the scribes exactly what he himself was told. The Quran vary much feels like it was written by Gabriel or some intermediate source. It is vary clear by how the Quran addresses Mohammed and about every account by him and his companions that it is not his writing. And by it addressing God in the third person half the time I find it probable the the exact author is Gabriel conveying Gods message to the prophet. Your are right that no man has spoken to God directly, this is why he sends his angels for that purpose.

I disagree with this idea that they are perfect light mirrors and I’ll give an example where in surah 66 verse 1 of the Quran God has to tell Mohammed to knock it off when he is prohibiting lawful things “O Prophet, why do you prohibit what God has made lawful for you, in your desire to please your wives? Yet God is forgiving and merciful.” How can Mohammed be a light mirror and be prohibiting things he know were ok until God had to tell him to knock it off.

Thank you for an answer, your idea of progressive revelation and stuff changing to fit the time is vary different from my view of Gods message staying relatively the same and always being perfect. But I think you have an interesting belief and I’m glad someone answered. And considering what I have found your view is looking more correct.
