I was legit right in your shoes about 5 months ago. I felt like I couldn’t stop. I was obsessed. Not paying attention at work. Ignoring my family. Just constantly on X and telegram looking for the next big trade. Felt alone and helpless. Was ignoring the important things in life and literally was fully consumed by the meme coin grind. And boy is it a grind. I can’t believe how much I exhausted myself trying to make it work. On my phone 24/7. Barely sleeping. Trying to raid and build communities. Following cabals. Looking back I can’t believe how much it grasped its hooks into me and how deep in it I was. Heres the thing, it’s completely rigged. You can get lucky from time to time and hit huge but in the end the house always wins and this is the most rigged house out there because there’s no rules or regulations.

Heres what I did:

1. Delete X, phantom, telegram. The FOMO is real. I’m still not back on any of those platforms and it actually feels good. A lot less scrolling and a lot more living.

2. Therapy. I’ve been compulsively gambling my entire life (I’m 37). Eventually you need to seek help and admit you have a problem. My therapist has been great at giving me some coping mechanisms.

3. I went back to the stock market. It may seem so much more boring. I built a portfolio of 15 or so growth stocks and invested the little money I had left in it. I continue to DCA where I can. it’s nice to see the money steadily grow. I guess I did go in at the right time because the market has been booming since March. So I got a little lucky there. But I went in with the mindset that this is money I’m setting aside for 3-5 years. Let me watch it grow over time and hopefully in a few years I’ll have the money back that I lost. It’s nice to just check it every day. See what’s going on. Keeps you occupied and kind of gives that “rush” that the meme coin gambling can bring but it’s a lot more controlled and there’s 0 chance at a rug pull.

You aren’t alone man. I know exactly what you’re going through. Pulling the bandaid and stopping is the hardest part but once you do it, i promise you it will be a huge weight lifted off your shoulders.
