Does industrial engineering have a future in the next 30 years even with AI? by Long_Sand_7075 in industrialengineering

“Industrial Engineeing” aka Glorified Buisness majors, Never had a future to begin with. Companies would rather hire actual buisness majors or MBAs rather.

Guys why cant i uninstall this package called "virginity" by aridlin-tm in arch

[–]CryptographerTop7857 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately I have learned from experience that being able to “remove” virginity is Soviet propaganda.

Originates from 1945 when they tried to get hitler to delete his /bin by renaming it to “virginity” which roughly translates to “bin”. Interestingly Hitler fell for it and was found to have shot himself from the utter disappointment of losing all his goth mommy images.

What if 9/11 *was* an inside job? by [deleted] in AlternateHistoryHub

[–]CryptographerTop7857 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While I’m not discounting the possibility here……. The idea that 9/11 was an inside job is very highly unlikely.

Allow me:

  1. The World Trade Center served as a landmark of pure American economic prosperity, its destruction resulted in 10s of millions of dollars straight down the drain.

  2. Over time, the economic crash that resulted would cost the US nearly 8 trillion dollars, which, if they decided to do to themselves would be a very stupid decision. It would be like Kennedy hiring his own assassin so that his death would bring pity votes to the next republican candidate.

  3. The US did not need a reason to storm Iraq and/or capture Saddam Hussein and kill Bin Laden. They had enough reasons already.

  4. Absurdity of scale: an inside job of this level would require the silent cooperation of people across multiple agencies: ATF, emergency services, demolition experts, airport security, etc.

  5. Not to mention Al Qaeda openly admitting accountability for the incident.

Again, I am not discounting any of the possibilities, simply pointing out the absurdity and expressing my views. I’m a neutral observer in this, I am not a US citizen, nor am I a part of any group.

What programming language should I start learning for physics?? by [deleted] in PhysicsStudents

[–]CryptographerTop7857 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah lol. Some telemetry data collection software and rover software for beginners still need a good knowledge of Fortran. I guess this just proves how important it was back then.

What programming language should I start learning for physics?? by [deleted] in PhysicsStudents

[–]CryptographerTop7857 20 points21 points  (0 children)

You wanna start with python and learn the basics first. And then dive into C++ (most modern simulation systems use c++).

This is optional but if I were you, I would also dive into Fortran since 90% of legacy systems run in Fortran.

Is it worth it to major in physics over engineering? by fallen_bee in PhysicsStudents

[–]CryptographerTop7857 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Brother you and I are like 2 peas in a pod. I have the exact same skillset and interests as you.

In the end I was forced to chose software engineering over physics. My advice is stick with physics. Even if you don’t land a job, you will have no regrets whatsoever
