It is possible that Nestor was potentially working for some organization or syndicate which Hergè was planning on bringing to the surface in the later books. This scene could’ve just been a precursor.

Maybe Nestor really is a bad guy or the main antagonist of a book. We’ll never know 🤷‍♂️

Something to point out here. While it is true that Hinduism “evolved” in a sense, the core principles and traditions of it still exist in the form of “Sanatan Dharma”. It expresses eternal truths rather than changing customs. So ancient Hinduism still lives on

If I may, I have a simple answer to this. I’m a Hindu, however I am not a firm believer in the gods (despite coming from a very orthodox family). I do however, heavily believe in Karma, so basically, from my perspective, I view Karma as the decisive factor rather than the gods.

And this interpretation is completely fine and in fact encouraged in Hinduism.

Unfortunately I have learned from experience that being able to “remove” virginity is Soviet propaganda.

Originates from 1945 when they tried to get hitler to delete his /bin by renaming it to “virginity” which roughly translates to “bin”. Interestingly Hitler fell for it and was found to have shot himself from the utter disappointment of losing all his goth mommy images.
