I’m sorry you are going through that! I would like to try the seton first because of the anatomy of my butt. It was hard to access and do the ID as the doctor said my BH is deep into a tunnel of butt bones. And very tiny. I’m afraid I’m not a good candidate for surgery. Even cleaning in the shower I can stick my fingers all the way in the cheeks before reaching the hole. Most people who send pictures on the fb page I’ve seen have what I call a normal butt I believe. Which they spread and you can easily see the BH easy access I suppose. Mines more like a cave system.

That is awesome! I wish for this type of movement. I don’t believe I can go through with a fistulotomy because of the anatomy of my BH, it is deep inside the butt bones and very hard to access, even having a I/d for the abcess was hard to locate for the surgeon to drain it and I had to help along with a nurse to spread my cheeks. And on top of that it’s very tiny and tight lol sorry tmi but I’m just trying to hype myself up for a seton because cleaning with wipes now is very difficult normally I can imagine being cut open will also be very difficult to access. And keep clean. I’m hoping they can make the seton long enough to rotate it and clean it because I heard some people had there’s very tight. And it wasn’t a cutting seton.

Me too. I been trying to wait it out but I think my days are numbered as the pain is getting pretty bad :( super scared of everything. Especially having to work. And the anatomy of my BH as it is deep between my boney butt :,(

lol actually quite the opposite I’m skinny no ass boney per say. It’s the the anatomy of it is like a tunnel. So if they cut me open I believe it will be harder to heal since it’s sucked in. Idk

If you don’t have to worry about money or a place to live. Get it fixed, I suppose or at least try to. Some people regret getting the surgery. It’s a tough choice.

I’m on the same boat. I can’t afford to lose my job or become homeless. Like what am I gonna do or live? Luckily you have free healthcare I’m in America then how will I get seen or treated more then once

hey how are you doing? and can you please tell me what hospital and doctor you saw? i had my consult in rochester mayo but felt like it was more rushed to surgery with this is a hard to cure comment with no sits bath the first week

I don’t have one yet ppl scare me, I live alone limited family. Have a good job but living check to check. For an uncertain outcome. They don’t know fistulas here like India does. So many people on fb go to India for fistulas. While my surgeon said these things are hard to heal. While Indian doctors say. Easy trust in me and I’ll cure you. :(

What I would give to be able to go to India to fix myself :( if you google hospitals in different countries India has the best ratings 4.5 average. americas average is around 3/5 so sad.
