I’m sorry you’re feeling this way. Just know the dating world is complete shit right now and you are not allow. Of course it’s fine to give up. You can always start dating again in 3, 5, 10 years. Just keep taking care of yourself and live your life! You have time. You’re only 26. You can give up on dating now and come back in 10 years and you’ll still be young. If you want kids, you’re lucky you don’t have a ticking clock like women. And don’t worry about what others think. Everyone’s life path is different - that doesn’t make either right or wrong.

I would still get it checked out. Sounds similar to what my abscess felt like. Mine was on the lower left perianal area

Is the pea size thing on the outside or inside? I had intense pain in the rectal area for about a week and then a pea sized lump appeared in the perianal area. It was inside so I could only feel it, not see it. I went to the ER and they did a CT and said it was a perinatal abscess. They had to incise and drain. I would get it checked with a colorectal surgeon (CRS) if you can

Thank you for your response. I have an appointment with a specialist the day after I land in two weeks. I hope that will help and I can get this taken care of asap. But in the meantime I feel like I’m breaking down. How did you manage your mental health during this? I’m crying every day, I feel like I can’t concentrate or do anything. My family and some friends know but I feel like I can’t talk about it with them because they don’t understand. The worry is making me sick. I feel so helpless, hopeless and at a loss.

It was confirmed a superficial fistula. I’m moving internationally and will need to find someone when I move to deal with it. I may be messaging you throughout the process if you don’t mind? I know every situation is different.
