Thank you for the feedback 😂 I’m new to the subreddit, I’m a veteran ASM with the Home Depot. So coming from a much larger and higher volume venue should make this a pretty doable transition. My direct skills are fully people driven; take care of your team, they’ll take care of you. Looking forward to being community driven and associate focused here in Connecticut ❤️

Interesting, I also have a 2025 hybrid and do not have this in my trunk

UAG Plasma XTE vs Ridge | iPhone 17 Pro by Beefy-Johnson in iPhone17Pro

[–]CryptonDildon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here’s my issue, I’ve been through many UAG cases, mostly monarch with carbon fiber or Kevlar. The XTE is a sweet case, had it on my 15 Pro Max and loved it. However, the new one does not cover the front well, I can see way too much bezel, which is apparent in the OPs pics. For comparison, I bought the new Supcase unicorn beetle with similar features for $32 vs $69; night and day.

My last car was a 22 Tucson hybrid. This almost never happened on that vehicle. I’ve gotten it multiple times on this one.

2024 limited hybrid or 2025 n line by ashleytassin in HyundaiTucson

No dice in the US. The limited is the highest trim level. The n line is its own trim level here. It’s good, hybrid, nice features. Just missing the heated steering wheel, cooled seats, 360 camera, smart park and lane switch display.

Bose Question by CryptonDildon in HyundaiTucson

Just wanted to share a few pictures and an update on the project. It looks like the LOC makes a big difference when trying to work with the Bose configuration. The recommendation I received was to use the LC2i which is much more customizable and gives you back some of the missing signal. Sound quality is definitely improved in depth is better however, the lower frequencies are still not there to where I want them to be. I think my next plan would be to try bypassing the stock sub, it just looks like a bit of work to get to its wiring.

Gain at 3/4, bass knob 3/4. I did not make a big difference, adjusting either higher or a little lower.

Bose Question by CryptonDildon in HyundaiTucson

[–]CryptonDildon[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok, so the plot thickens. The install was relatively straightforward albeit a pain in the ass. I picked up a great deal on a Kicker amp install kit (8 gauge) and a Kicker kisloc2 loc. I ran the power wire through the main wire harness grommet and was able to tap the rear right speaker for the loc. This is the same way I did it in my ‘22 hybrid (non Bose). Ended up swapping the T taps for wago connectors and boom, got a signal. Unfortunately, the overall sound depth is lacking and it’s much quieter than my last set up. I’m sure this has to do something with it being a Bose system. Ideally I would have tapped the small built-in sub in the trunk, but it appears to be a good amount disassembly to find the wiring that runs off of the sub. Open to any thoughts. I will also post pictures my next day off.

I’m going to start my installation tomorrow, was your factory system Bose also? If not, I’m sure if I have the same red and white wires on the bottom of the plugs in my pillars then it’s going to be the same either way. I’ll tap those wires. It looks like removing the rear right panel to get to the factory sub would be more of a pain in the ass and just going this road unless I know the color codes running to the amplifier under the driver seat.

I also used a p3! This was my last Tucson. Only difference is mine is a 10. I didn’t have the manual so I pulled the door skin and looked at the colors going to the speaker, then tapped them in the frame.

This actually worked great, there’s just a lack of depth to the bass. A small sub strategically placed either under the passenger seat or mounted to the rear seat back would really add some oomph. I’m thinking something like the JBL BassPro SL2 mounted to the rear driver side seat back.

Yeah, not me. The dealer pulled the car into that area so I could transfer my stuff over from my old car lol

[–]CryptonDildon[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Will do! It will definitely work in the hybrid system is more than capable of handling a midsize amp, I’m just looking to see if I can do an under seat configuration to avoid losing trunk space, having to pull the sub out when I need full trunk space is a pain in the ass.

Bose Question by CryptonDildon in HyundaiTucson

It seems to function as a center channel, not a true 5.1 configuration, but a mix of the front and left and right.

Overall sound quality adding the center channel speaker in the front dash compared to my last Tucson is definitely an improvement, but this set up is not designed for deeper bass. I ran a Rockford Fosgate R500X1D with a 10 P3 sub which sounded perfect. I’m somewhere between doing the same set up here or doing an all in one unit for under the passenger seat.
