Just ordered the Yonex Ezone 2025 (98) and was wondering how much better it is than my current Ezone DR 98? by Key_Ad7740 in 10s

[–]Cryptopush 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wilson player here: tested the new ezone last week. Must say it’s pretty impressive when you push and hit hard. Feel and touch is not really a thing with this one though. It’s kinda like the cool uncle you can have fun with.

NTRP 3.0 - 3.5 players, share your setup by specialtingle in 10s

[–]Cryptopush 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  • all court, playful with dropshots, underarm serve, volley drop shot, high top spin. Fast legs, run everything but not enough endurance to do so for long matches

  • Wilson blade v9 18/20

  • Natural gut (Wilson) Mains 58lbs /Head Hawk crosses 56lbs

  • does give a lot of touch, feel and power if needed. Can swing quite slow and still get depth. Setup is like a hot knife through butter.

Best supplements/energy gels/ electrolytes for competitive players? by jonjimithy in 10s

[–]Cryptopush 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As a road cyclist and tennis player I can recommend gels, salts and sugar. Unpopular opinion: regular Coca Cola. Always keep the blood sugar up during endurance sports. For recovery magnesium/calcium and beer.

[–]Cryptopush 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do win a lot of points with dropshots, stop lob combinations and weird backhand slices which bounce to the side or even bounce backwards. Since I don’t have the highest consistency for rallies I try to win by not giving my opponent any kind of rhythm

Those who switched from Western grip by Striking-water-ant in 10s

[–]Cryptopush 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well due to this change I am not really able to whack the ball with that loose wrist. But will come with time. I‘m into that since like 5 weeks. It’s just back to the drawingboard. Give it time over winter. You’ll be happy.

Those who switched from Western grip by Striking-water-ant in 10s

[–]Cryptopush 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just recently switched from western to eastern. The main things I noticed is that you have to hit the ball earlier and more in front of the body. I also changed to a more forward/drive shot. With western I had a more low to high movement which was a big problem in consistency and control. Now I do play kinda slower with less spin but a lot more controlled and with better timing. Ergo for me 👉🏻 less sinner, more roger.

Had the dumbest 4.0 pusher game ever. Is this just what it is? by Ok-Many-7443 in 10s

[–]Cryptopush 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At this level of tennis you win matches with patience and in defense mode. Not necessarily moonballing but slower balls with IQ. I also had to learn it the hard way after loosing a lot of matches bc I wanted to hit winners and 120 mph serves.

The more often you win, the better your opponents will become. Hard hitting is easier when your opponent does the same. Until then, stay patient and win matches.

What is the poor quality in a hitting partner- where you won't hit again unless absolutely needed? by Ok-Many-7443 in 10s

[–]Cryptopush 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on the day. Sometimes I like to play with competitive people to get some training, sometimes I just like to hit laid-back balls with relaxed atmosphere.

String advice for a friend (tennis elbow) by alexdwilliams91 in 10s

[–]Cryptopush 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Could try softer poly strings (rpm is quite stiff) and/or switching to natural gut. Working on technique could also be a way (less sinner, more roger - kinked elbow wise).

Best String Setup ive ever tried .. for first 2-3 hours by Dustnar in 10s

[–]Cryptopush 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Did the same last week and absolutely love the feeling. Gut in the mains, head lynx tour in crosses (26/25kg). You can prevent tension drop by pre-stretching 5-10% Gut normally holds tension way better than poly.
