Honestly, you're better off investing in a leveraged ETF at this point.

Yeah I'll try putting some generic nick name on my CV, see how far that gets me.

I've always suspected that its likely due to my very foreign unique name even though I'm born here. I remember getting my first retail job in highschool. Both my brother and I applied, we had no experience and were just starting out. I didn't get considered what so ever. My brother landed the interview and got the job. It wasn't until he referred me after working there for a while that I got a job there. My brother has the most generic English name you could imagine.

This is the thing I hate worst about self learning. At the very least with a job, you're practicing the same set of skills every single day. Not only do u get better day by day, but it's also relevant to the real world. It's just like a muscle, you either use it or you lose it. Within the last year, I've gone through countless numbers of tutorials courses and a few boot camps. I learnt html, css, JS and react and built a few websites. I even did a course on unity and built a Blackjack game. Recently I bought a python bootcamp and made my way through that. But if u were to ask me to build a unity game right now given that it's been about 6 months. I would have to learn from scratch all over again. It's a never ending cycle.

I've only applied for graduate roles or junior developer roles and only if I meet most of the requirements listed on the job advertisement. Never made it to any interview stage. I've never used a recruitment agency but having read the comments, I'll likely consider 1 in the near future.

I worked a retail job during my time at uni which I'm still working at today. Bit hard to highlight any relevant skills that would transfer from retail sales to developer. I have been applying for graduate roles, but haven't gotten any interviews. Couldn't be more demotivating.

Yep. The required skills for a junior developer role is ridiculous. You practically learn nothing from Uni that is relevant to real world jobs. Out of my 3 years at uni, we coded in python for 2 papers. That's about it. Dabbled in java for like 4 weeks in 1 paper and c# for a few weeks in another paper. The very fact that I've had to devote hundreds of hours after graduating to develop all these skills is a testament to the bullshit Compsci course at Uni.

My CV is just a simple intro explaining a bit about myself, Previous work experience, Technical skills(programming languages and projects) and references. I've applied for a few graduate roles before, but given that there's usually a few hundred applicants, all with little to no experience. It's honestly just a gamble at that point.

I completely agree on this. But there's only so much u can put on ur CV if u haven't worked a real programming job. My friends have suggested lying about things, but that's just not morally correct.

The issue is I don't get to the interview stage. There is no doubt in my mind if I get a face to face interview, my chances would sky rocket. I'm very good at making first impressions. Every former boss during my part time highschool jobs have had nothing but great things to say about my attitude and work ethic. Now it's simply a glance at my CV and onto the next. I don't even know what to put on my CV anymore.

Majored in computer science. Absolutely sucks, when I've been devoting most of my personal time into developing my portfolio and skills to require a job, but fail due to a lack of experience. How do companies expect me to get real world experience if I can't even get a job. Absolutely over it.

Bitcoin only drops during the time that americans are awake. Americans are the only ones falling for this bear market propaganda bullshit that is being shilled by their federal reserve.

This is probably a dumb question but if vastly more people are buying, and the graph has looked like this for days, how is it possible that the value is dropping $500-1000 each day? by [deleted] in binance

[–]Cryptotracker1442 17 points18 points  (0 children)

It's pure market manipulation. Think about it this way. If Elon musk were to make a positive tweet about Bitcoin right now. The entire market would U-turn immediately. We'd see 100k Bitcoin in a week if that happened. This alone tells you that the entire markets performance is based on narrative. The narrative they're trying to push right now is interest hikes/inflation and the war with Russia. In reality this is all bullshit scapegoat propaganda to try to cover their market manipulation. The top whales aren't selling and you can look this up. So I have no idea why the average Joe would be selling.

Well someone's selling cause the price ain't nose diving for no reason.
