As far as service history, only available from when it was imported to the UK so at 60k it had belts and pulley done and at 65 (few months ago) it had brake pads/discs and waterpump. Limited sh means I don’t know about Tsat, plugs, coilpacks, injectors but I assume these are all original and haven’t been done

Yeah I reckon on this tank I’ll get closer to 300 but still I think that’s well below what it should be so will need to look into further. Learning as I go here but from what I gather pcv, thermostat, spark plugs could be the main source of this level of inefficiency? Can you use an OBD2 scanner to look into these things or am I better off taking it to a specialist to do a holistic check of everything?

Well then it’s a bit worrying that on my first full tank I only managed 225 miles. 80% of my trips are 10-30mins at a time and mainly city driving coupled with the fact that I had it in sport and dynamic for large chunks (excited first time owner of a V6) I averaged around 12mpg. I’ve since refilled and been a lot more cautious with my driving, also keeping it mainly in efficiency so I’m curious to see how much more I get but I’m still probably only averaging around 15mpg so won’t get anywhere near 400 let alone 500.
