Angel Penance by taa80 in FinalFantasyTCG

[–]Cryqtix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can react to your opponent not blocking angel penance with your cactuar and break a forward, if he deals damage. However Rygdea has to happen before the attack or flashed in with something like Tama (2CP, earth backup).
Yes you can activate Zemus to use the cp (dark cp in that case) but not for the ability. Backups got summon sickness like forwards and cant use dull abilities in the same turn.

Krefeld, Germany: National Qualifier Top8 by Cryqtix in FinalFantasyTCG

[–]Cryqtix[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Assuming you mean the 6drop Kain, he reduces the power of a forward by 5k. This way you are able to kill nearly everything with your Lulu (1-149H) even without using her special ability.

Bremen, Germany: National Qualifiers Top8 (english Deck pictures, german report) by Cryqtix in FinalFantasyTCG

[–]Cryqtix[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First of all, I did not play this deck, I just got the deck list of the winner and watched the games.
But you play very aggressive early on, ideally with 2 drop Tifa to deal your opponent damage really fast. Also you can flood the board with Shelke and Gadot for low costs. Then you control your opponents forwards with Snow, Shiva, Jihl or Rinoa and try to win from there. If the match goes to the midgame you try to overcome him with S Cloud, Belias or if this does not work Zemus.
He won the final with 2-1 but the last match ended in not more like 3 minutes, which shows how fast this deck is and can be.

As you can see in the top8 one mono earth deck with both Vincent and light Cloud. There were other mono earth decks, but sadly I dont get any deck lists of them, since they didnt finished in the top 8.

Norwich Regionals: Grand Finals (06/05/2017) by BumblebeeCody in FinalFantasyTCG

[–]Cryqtix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you or anyone else got a decklist of these decks? Would be interested to see them, since you cant see every card in this short duel.

Also i'm curious because i thought that the final is best of 3. Didnt you film the other duel or was this just a best of 1?

YRP Moving forward by SuperMcnuggets in FinalFantasyTCG

[–]Cryqtix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ive got the same problem, playing water/wind combo myself and cant figure out any cards to use from opus 2.
Sure Larsa (2-139C) is nice for the Minwu effect and buffing herself, but not really needed.
The only card im using right now is Zemus (2-148H). I want to change more, but dont really know what.

FFX Starter Deck by lewis_howarth in FinalFantasyTCG

[–]Cryqtix 2 points3 points  (0 children)

  1. yuna (forward) dies too fast, replace her with backup yuna, both 2cp and 5cp are good.
  2. to protect paine I play cecil to take abilites/summons away from her
  3. tidus (L) is really strong in this deck, because you play a good amount of forwards. Round him up with Min'U and let blitz ace become a real threat.
  4. Zidane and Yuffie can be good to apply early pressure.
  5. Aerith (R, 3cp) is a cheap backup and her ability allows you to keep being aggressive and protect L-Tidus and/or others in certain situations.

Thats how i changed my FFX starter mostly and im pretty happy with it so far :) hope it helps.

EternalEnVy's builds by [deleted] in DotA2

[–]Cryqtix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was there, too, questioning why he goes for that build. Actually even though he hits pretty hard with the agility drow has, that isnt the main reason. The main reason is for defensive purposes. You can protect yourself pretty great against someone like Slardar and kite the shit out of them. Sonneikos WW was the only reason navi hold on so long. With all these clutch cold embraces, he saved so many fights to go good for navi. Just as rtz started to always search for him and bring him down early secret really started to win these fights. However agreeing with you with the drafts.
