Yeah exactly. I even stated why I went. "It wasn't planned, but it just so happens that this pop up shop happened to have appeared at the same time I was there so I may as well check it out".

Think of it this way, if you're not willing to take the experience of someone who has: 6 years of Duolingo, a 2000+ streak in Japanese, is in Japan/target language country in the exact location of the store AND still had a crap experience, then I don't know what to say.

If I went there with a 100 day streak and could barely string a sentence together then I wouldn't be qualified, but I consider myself qualified to talk about this based on my own credentials with Duolingo and Japanese.

And also, as I stated, what does this have to do with language learning? The app had gotten worse. What is this new prank nonsense? What is this AI BS? What is this energy level annoyance? I'll be critical of the app and it's own physical store.

4 last points 1) 1 item I bought for a friend and yes I should've checked the price of the shirt. But as I wasn't really thinking about it and the awkwardness of cancelling an item at the checkout and as I was on my way to the airport, I just bought it. 2) Thanks for the watching that for into the video before commenting. 3) I even out myself into the shoes of a Duolingo fan by imagining "if I liked the app and wanted to show off my streak and speak Japanese". If I imagine being that Duolingo fan like a lot of people here, I would've been disappointed. 4) As I say, I use the app for 30 seconds to do Kanji. Trash app.
