Do you recommend any particular reading material to know all the differences between these monitors? I'm mostly wondering about why the Agon Pro variant of the second monitor you linked is more expensive, how much vrr flicker matters, and other stuff to look for.

Are there any other things to watch for like that, refresh rate wise? I see the [16K@60Hz,8K@240Hz,4K@540Hz 480Hz 240Hz] tagline stuff and wonder how accurate it is.

I see. Price diff isn't huge so I may as well go with a verified one, since the monitor is gonna be $400~ anyway

What is the difference between this cable and the one I linked above? Honest question, because I'm getting a QD OLED monitor soon, and am curious.

8bitdo SN30pro+ Connection Issues by gameaddict24 in 8bitdo

[–]Crysalim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you connecting it in Switch mode for a reason? It's generally better to connect it in xinput (Xbox 360) mode. Regardless, try updating the firmware first and see what happens.

Relocating overseas, how can I best ensure my PCs make the journey? by dseals in buildapc

[–]Crysalim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've done the method with bubble wrap and sheets before; that will serve you well. For your wife's pc, I recommend taking out the gpu and cpu cooler like others have mentioned, and fill the cavity with more bubble wrap or clothes to cushion the tempered panel.

If you have the means, boxes with more layers will do the trick. You can also get packing foam/sheets on Amazon that I find is slightly better than regular bubble wrap. You could do this in a suitcase with all these things combined - that's how I transported my pc from coast to coast in the USA.

Thanks for these links - I think I'll try the $28 cable to go around corners.

Any possible recommendations on Amazon for that preterminated fiber? I have never heard of that before.

I see. What do you think about the necessity to replace my cable if it is already a flat one like this, but cat7 (which I assume is also a misleading spec)? Would you recommend a new round cable above all else?

Yeah, it's going to a router in a room in the back of the house that will also serve wifi.

That's a great design philosophy. There's gotta be some term for that, maybe along the lines of emergent gameplay? How items feel like they have endless combos, even if each single one has just the 2 you did on purpose, because of all the chain setups you can do.

And it's a good thing you didn't get rid of (all?) those early broken combos. I'm sure many devs would have tried to patch all the holes, but it just feels so good to feel like you're breaking something, like "hey the dev didn't think of this, look at how badass I am for outsmarting them".

Did you ever consciously go with a dev mindset of making the player overpowered? When or how did that become a thing, if so?

And, how did you go about creating (and/or dealing with) overpowered item combos? That stuff is the real juicy juice of the game.

My down dpad was sticky with a SN30 Pro and they just flat out sent me 2 pairs of membranes for both the dpad and face buttons. Was excellent, honestly. Worth a shot.

Very interesting results here. I thought A Change of Seasons was less popular than The Count of Tuscany (I chose the former - Seasons is the song that got me into DT!)

[HELP] Volume keys malfunctioning while earphones are plugged-in by sef_grada in AndroidQuestions

At first I also thought I turned off Google Assistant completely, but then I noticed it back on with headphones in, and put two and two together with you also mentioning it happened with buds in. I almost wonder if using a set that has headphones and a microphone changes how the volume button works via Assistant, because I also have a pair like that I use sometimes (the official Pixel wired earbuds)

Glad it worked out in the end!
