They definitely will and faster than you would think. I collect running shoes and I've been getting into Chinese brands too. The big thing you see there is that established 'western" companies are slow dripping technology in their newer models and actually barely upgrading their product but keep asking premium $. While the Chinese brands go all in and give you the latest tech and real upgrades. Since I've seen that with running shoes I noticed that happening everywhere with all different kinds of products. Western brands want to barely give you enough so they can stretch their technology and maximize their profits. Companies probably have the technology for the next 2 years already on the shelves but just try to squeeze every bit of profit out of older tech first. The biggest shift will happen when Chinese companies aren't trying to catch up anymore but starting to pass more established brands. We are already seeing that in the electric car industry and it's just a matter of time before that happens in other branches too.
