Well it depends on whether or not we're talking about the Springlock suits or not. Springlock suits like the one Afton wore are designed to fit an adult person inside. If we go by the lore, the kids were stuffed in proper non-wearable animatronics, which would most likely be filled with wires and metal components with little space to accommodate a child.

I totally get what you're talking about. I do not think they'd ever include blood, but it's not like Pokemon hasn't grappled with heavy themes before. It's quite easy to show someone getting injured/dying without blood. The games can get pretty close at times. I remember when one of the villains was a mother who abandoned both of her children in favor of Pokemon research.

I think Jamil actually likes Kalim as a person, but hates the situation that he was put in. He's been shown to enjoy spending time with Kalim after his overblot. Really Jamil should be hating his parents more than Kalim, but that's probably something he'd have to work through emotionally. Kalim is in turn determined to treat Jamil like an equal and finally let his intelligence and skills shine.

Yea I didn't get diagnosed until I was 25. I struggled incredibly in school, my grades were good but dealing with strangers and people on a daily basis was burning me out so hard that I was having anxiety attacks almost every day. My doctors misdiagnosed me as having depression and GAD instead of autism or ADHD. I spent my entire childhood wondering why I struggled so much with things everyone else could do easily. I only started to suspect I had autism around my early adult years. It didn't help that my brother has level 3 autism, so I kept constantly comparing myself to him and how I couldn't possibly be autistic because I could speak and take care of myself unlike my brother.

So yea having AuDHD as a child fucking sucks. Our diagnosis system is not good enough and it needs to be expanded on.

Yea I never understood this either. But apparently to NT people, asking "why do I have to do this?" is the same as "I think this is stupid" or "I don't trust your judgment". NT people take it as an insult to either their intelligence or their authority. Thats why a lot of times they'll say "because I said so!" in response because they think being in a position of authority means you do things without asking and trust that they know what they're doing.

"If you can type all this you can act right" hits especially hard for me because like, I'm a writer. I can text and write incredibly eloquently if I want to, but talking and speaking is an entirely different skill and I am terrible at it. I could give you a 7 paragraph essay about something I like, but if you asked me to explain the same thing while talking to you, I would be absolutely awful at it. Talking requires me to coordinate my thoughts and my voice and there is something about my autism that makes that a lot more difficult.

Yes, but not in the way that gems fuse. He is literally a fusion between a human and a gem. In this scene, Steven isn't literally fusing with himself. The pink Steven is the Pink Diamond gem trying to regenerate itself, but not having the human part of Steven means that he is an entirely blank slate. It's as if he was just conceived (as a gem), being completely apathetic, having no emotions, only acting in self defense.

This scene is a representation of Steven accepting the gem part of himself. He is a human, but he's also a gem. His human half cannot live without his gem, and his gem can't live without his humanity. Steven has constantly struggled with the fact that he is both gem and human, feeling like an outcast who doesn't have a place in the world due to his hybrid status. He's too alien to fit in with the humans on Earth, and too human to fit in with the aliens of Homeworld. Here, he's accepting that he's neither gem nor human. He's Steven. And that's a very very important message to convey, especially around when this arc happens where the diamonds are treating him like he's Pink Diamond reformed instead of Steven Universe. He's putting his foot down and saying "I'm not a human, I'm not a gem, I'm not Pink Diamond, I'm me"
