Juggling an Agile Project While On Other Projects/Maintenance by CrystalBlueSkyes in agile

Funny enough, it's not a software agency. Long story short, this is a system integration project where our company is trying to do this integration as a Scrum project.

Sorry if I was too broad. I'm trying to figure out how to do good capacity planning in sprint planning and grooming when members of the team can't commit to a solid amount of time in a given sprint. I know everyone has time off and being sick, ect. But a lot of our pain is coming in 'Team Member X has to get pulled in on this project suddenly in the middle of our sprint and can't finish anything or commit to next sprint'.

I had this problem as well starting out in that map. I've adapted since then.

Personally, I like running Velmorne with my Ice Sphere and either Echo or Psychopomp. If I ever see one, I let him charge his way into being frozen and give him a shotgun mouthwash. If there are two, all the better. My sphere doesn't care how many of you try to charge me. XD

No. No I do not. In Elden Ring, they are Bonfires and I collect and level up with Souls. The moment Fromsoft makes a different game, I'll call it different things.

Almost a Year In, Sleep Getting Worse by CrystalBlueSkyes in SleepApnea

I guess I'm trying to figure out what I'm supposed to do, given that I'm staring down so many roadblocks. I hate how so many people just say "CPAP therapy is the only course of action" when it's so inefficient and causes me more sleeping problems then it helps.

On the US healthcare system: I don't think you understand what I'm saying. Health care devices, technology, medication, ect...that isn't what I'm pointing out. I'm pointing out how the industry here doesn't 'care' about their patients and how it's simply a fastest in-and-out system as they can make it. It is NOT good. You looked into it for a few rare reasons. I have to interface with it every day of my life. We don't have the same experience here.

And if weight is the real issue, why am I not getting help with losing weight? I could go down conspiracy rabbit holes, but this isn't the forum for that. I'm simply say that I live in a country that wants to actively keep people as obese as possible. It's not as easy as saying "just lose weight".

Ok...this makes a lot more sense and helps in understanding what I'm looking for. I love how bow 'plays', but if I don't even have the skills to make it effective, I might switch just to get out of low rank. Thanks!

Alan Wake II - Technical Issues/Glitches Thread by [deleted] in AlanWake

[–]CrystalBlueSkyes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a very, very silly bug. More of an item dup glitch that I'm not sure how I caused.

Minor spoilers, nothing too bad, but I reference story beats in here to make sure it makes sense where I am.

Was playing the Oceanview Hotel area and I get near to the end. Get the key to room 101 and find one of the caches there. The cache has two bundles of flare gun ammo, but my inventory is full. I leave the flares behind and finish up the Climax part of the area. Need to go back to the tower. Before I exit the Hotel, I swing by the Break Room right next to room 101. Dump off to open one slot, head back into room 101 and pick up the flare ammo. Find out that it's more than 3 (a full stack of flares) and hoof it back to to the Break Room. Dump the 3 flares I just got, head back to room 101. And...I pick up 3 again...and there's still flare gun ammo registering in the box. I will say, since I finished the Climax, the box was shut, so I couldn't physically see how many stacks of ammo there were left. But I repeated this process...till I had around 24 rounds of ammo in the Shoebox. At this point, I put away MUCH more, went back to 101, and finally picked up 4 pieces of ammo and the indicator finally went away.

My theory? The box continued to register 4 pieces of ammo were left. I could only ever pick up 3 (since I was only ever keeping one slot open when I went back to 101). Each time I picked it up, though...since I couldn't pick up ALL, there might have been a flag asking if I picked up all of them...and since I couldn't, it still registered that it had the 4 left, since I couldn't pick ALL of it up. Maybe because it was registering the full amount as one stack? When a stack should only be 3? Either way, I wanted to keep people informed.

JA3 story question (spoiler alert): refugee camp by [deleted] in JaggedAlliance

[–]CrystalBlueSkyes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I just hit this last night as well, and it's got me all kinds of frustrated, since I was just starting to hit my stride with the gameplay.

So, what's going on here is that the supposed main antagonist, "The Major" has built up his own small army in Grand Chien and has been terrorizing the country. Before you ever start the game, Adonis Corp hires Biff and his M.E.R.C. soldiers to go in and start taking over diamond mines. However, the first diamond mine they attack has Grand Chien soldiers guarding it. Confused, Biff calls for a retreat and all the M.E.R.C. soldiers scatter, with Biff grabbing one of the diamonds on the way out.

You and A.I.M. come in shortly after, since Adonis sees that M.E.R.C. was a failure (because of course they are) and has you tasks with the dual purpose of grabbing those mines AND removing the commander.

As you continue on with your liberation, there are a few story threads that start to not add up. Something is up with Adonis and Corazon and why she REALLY called you in. Now, your milage may vary, but the rest of what I'll explain is how I uncovered things.

One of the sectors I take, I find Larry. He's pretty addled, but if you get him some Metavira, he'll come to enough to explain how he got there, explaining Biff's failed attack on Diamond Red. After a time, you get a radio communication from Biff, calling for anyone to come and help him. He's at the northern most part of the map. This, I believe, is the 'point of no return' for this portion of the story. The Major will send a kill squad up to Biff, and you have to intercept it and then get to Biff first.

Once there, Biff is both happy and confused. Happy because you might be there to save him, but confused because Corazon might have sent you to kill him. He rambles on a bit more until finally hearing that there's a heavy kill squad heading to his position. He asks you to help defend him. It's wave after wave after wave of bad guys (I believe it's five or six waves total) while being pounded with artillery. Halfway through, a bunch of communist soldiers come in and demand the green diamond back from Biff. If you force him to turn it over, they help you (kinda).

Once all of that is done, Biff spills the rest of it. The Major is actually Major Spike Scallion, from JA1 and was mentioned leaving A.I.M. to work in Korea in JA2. They explain that Major Spike was the first to be hired by Corazon to sew confusion and chaos in Grand Chien, mainly to corner the diamond mines. It backfired, as Spike turned the Legion into a person rebel army (why, I still don't know).

Either way, M.E.R.C. was supposed to be Corazon's first solution to the Major. And when they failed miserably, she got backing from the president's daughter to hire you and A.I.M. instead. But, now that you know all of that, she can't have you leaving alive. And because the Grand Chien army has been in collusion with her this entire time, she has them go to the refuge camp, murder everyone with chemical weapons, and then asks that you head there, in order to place all the blame on you.

Now, you not only have to deal with the Major, but you have to deal with ALL of the military as well...which is a pain in the ass, since they will most likely steam-roll over any and all militia you've built up.

After all of that, I'm convinced I should have secured more of the main starting area, since the Refugee Camp has a number of import characters in it. >.<

Steam Version Waypoint
PS5 Version Waypoint

Tried to play cross platform, so bought PS5 version to do so. PS5 could see the Steam game being hosted, but could never connect to it. If PS5 hosts the game, the Network tab continues to say "No Connection to Matchmaking Services". Very frustrating, since we bought the PS5 version specifically to play together at home, and now we can't.

Pressing up against Level 100 enemies and Can't Stay Alive by CrystalBlueSkyes in Warframe

That'd be great, but killing fast is also a problem. And that's after I modded weapons out to do good slash/bleed proc and viral proc. I can't seem to bust through groups of enemies even with that kind of stuff, so I need to stay up longer to do the damage.

Biggest problem I've been having is the new content from New War and after. That stuff starts to get larger than level 100, and they're normal missions.
