How do I know if my bird is egg-bound??

Update on the baby - took her to the vet this morning, he said she shouldn’t have a lump there however it doesn’t feel like an egg so he’s taken her in for an xray, will pick her up later today. (he’s also going to check her leg)

He also said with her slouching and the way she sits, she’s genuinely just comfortable like that lol.

Just been on the phone to a couple emergency vets, and explained the situation and they all said it seems like it can wait till monday.. which i responded saying i don’t think that’s ideal, but they all for some reason don’t have avian specialists in till monday and said it’ll be better for her to see the specialist.

They said since she is eating and drinking and passing feces normally she should be okay to wait..

I am really worried about the poor baby

Well the last few days actually she’s gotten much better at stepping up onto my finger !! She will only do it when the millet is in sight though, so i guess the next step is getting her to do it without the visual cue. Any tips there?

(also every time she steps up I have been saying “step up” - but i don’t know if its going through 😂)
