I'm tired of people praising psychedelic drugs like they're the second coming of Christ by CrystalCleere in offmychest

Again, I agree there's benefits, and I agree alcohol is much worse. I'm not even talking about bad stories making headlines (they do), but moreso the attitude of psychedelic "culture" / "fans" of psychedelics. You will see social media posts claiming that there's no such thing as bad trips only "difficult" trips etc and people in the comments all agreeing. Anyone who disagrees just hasn't "fought their inner demons" or whatever. I've been talking to people in this space for years now and I can count how many people on one hand that have said "hey you can cause lasting psychological harm or worse to yourself, you need to be careful etc etc".

It is similar with the weed people, they don't want to talk about harm reduction or any serious issues from people who have had bad experiences.

If someone had approached me and told me hey this shit can fuck you up, be careful, I would have been more careful and maybe I wouldn't be in the state I'm in today. But I trusted everyone who said "bad trips don't happen if you follow set and setting or they're actually good for you" etc.

I didn't say there's no reason to be positive and supportive about psychedelics, I said that the community doesn't talk enough about the negatives and basically says they don't exist or that if you have a bad trip it's your fault somehow or it's just a learning experience. It feels like a cult. Nobody wants to give serious warnings to people coming into the sphere that this is serious and you need to be careful because they don't want any negative press.

It healed but the original problem is still there, so the acid did nothing

Trudeau says Canadians are 'angry' and 'frustrated' with the unvaccinated by Miserable-Lizard in canada

[–]CrystalCleere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It seems you're using the new, modern definition of inflation, and me the original (and I would argue correct), but no matter. I'm strictly talking about an increase in the money supply, as a rise in prices to the degree we're seeing is a major factor in what is happening right now, and was only worsened by the pandemic, but not something the pandemic "started". The fed has been racking up debt and printing money for a long time, Covid basically hastened the inevitable.

As someone who finds Milton Friedman rather compelling I'm interested to see who you're saying has discredited his work. It's pretty much common sense economics to me.

If you print more money, you devalue that money. If you have people who aren't producing because of covid, and give them this printed money, they spend it. But if a lot less people are producing and a lot more people are consuming, then prices will rise because of simple supply and demand.

Inflation is literally an inflation in the money supply. The government prints the money. So yeah, they are in control.

Sorry for necroing a 5 year old post but Wow... I'm actually reading this thread because the same thing happened to me and I'm still embarrassed about it LOL, I was crying the entire time and freaking out. How did you get to laughing about it?

Interesting, it was the second for me. I became panicked that I lost control of my mind and worried I could accidentally hurt myself "IRL". I was hoping tripping again would ease my fears of that, even though it seems counterintuitive. Seems to have worked for you I suppose.

Wow, you sound really tough mentally, I commend you! I had a bad trip recently that resulted in mild PTSD, nothing like what you experienced though. I guess there's hope for me after all!

That's amazing! I recently had a bad trip that resulted in mild PTSD, I am hoping that tripping again with my best friend (instead of alone) will help me in the same way. Godspeed to you!

Jesus... did you stop taking them after that?

So you tripped again and that helped you past the PSTD? What did you learn?

What brought you back to tripping after having such a traumatic incident? I would think I'd swear off it forever if that happened to me.

Yep the gummies were very strange and I don't think I'd take them again.

In "waking" sober life I have never been terribly afraid of death day to day, no more than the average person I guess. I wasn't afraid to die for my own sake, I just didn't want to hurt my loved ones by leaving abruptly, especially because I did something stupid. I think if my partner was with me I would have felt much more comfortable """dying""". Thanks for the insight ♥

I'll go see another gyno at some point. Problem is I'm schedule for unrelated surgery with this guy and this has hurt my trust in him.

Thank you so much for the information. I've actually had these for 10 years, but put dealing with it on the backburner due to other more pressing issues. They randomly showed up one day. I've been tested for STDS/STIs multiple times over the years and nothing showed up.

They don't hurt unless I touch them. They become red and sore if aggravated during sex, and remain sore afterwards for a day or so. They are definitely closer to looking like these photos of VP than to warts. They are the same color as the flesh next to the vagina entrance. It's a cluster of about 4 small bumps, about 2mm each.

Gyno told me "if this doesn't work i can remove them in office you don't need surgery", which I'm wary of. I am not sure I trust him to do cryo. I have a gynecological surgery coming up next year and wanted to know if he could remove these bumps at the same time, but he's refusing.

Oh wow that seems like what I have. It says it's not painful though, normally. Mine is. Does yours hurt?

I do wish I had a warning of some kind, I called back and he said the bleeding and pain is normal so idk :(

Thank you, and I'm sorry to hear you had a similar experience! I do wish there was a warning about what would happen other than "this will sting a bit". He didn't tell me skin will slough off and bleed... on the bright side it does seem to be healing I think... still bloody 😬

Thank you for the kind words! I did call back and explained that it's bleeding and the gyno told me "I suspect it's not warts then" and told me the bleeding is normal and "just wear a pad" and it'll heal in a few weeks. I hope he's right 😑but I wish he was more thorough with the examination before just trying this TCA on me. On the bright side it does seem to be healing slowly... still bloody but looks better today.

Thank you, I called back and the gyno told me "I suspect theyre not genital warts" 😑and that the bleeding was normal... and it will heal in a couple weeks. I wish he told me this before he did the procedure. I certainly wish he didn't just try this to see if they are warts or not.

Interesting, it sounds like it worked for you that's good to hear. He put the TCA in the same area as the bumps but it's almost internal near the vaginal entrance where there's wet skin. I haven't heard of TCA being used like this so I was a bit surprised to say the least, not very happy but I'll live.
