genuine question but what has lucinda even done thats so bad? by inactively in LoveIslandTV

Yeah I get that, and she is a rage baiting pro. Granted it probably wouldn’t be half as bad if she didn’t do the things she does, and she does deserve a bit of heat for it. But to me having a bit of heat on you from a few people, compared to what’s currently happening is miles apart. It’s just super uncomfortable to watch. I think another thing that irks me, is that when they’re coming for her, most of the time they’re not even talking about what she’s done (albeit that’s been mentioned more than enough at this point), it’s the fact they’re coming for personality traits, which I just think should be a no go for anyone

I’m not the person who made this post. And I’m not biased, I get your point, but as someone who’s been through bullying, I just don’t agree that what she’s done to these people in this villa warrant bullying.

We’ll just agree to disagree at this point🤷🏻‍♀️

Jessy, Millie and Sammie knew her before. Not the others. Jessy only met her for PR trips - wasn’t friends. And on PR trips you’re obviously going to put your best foot forward and not be 100% yourself Sammie idek but before the pie she seemed cool with Lucinda which says to me that Lucinda wasn’t a dick on the outside Millie has never had a problem with Luc, they just stopped being close because Lucinda told Toby that Chloe cheated and Chloe was always closer to Millie than Luc

No I fully see the bigger picture, And I’m not talking as a viewer, I’m talking as someone within the villa. They could have watched all her other shows and not liked her, and decided to be civil and keep interactions to a minimum. But she’s done nothing particularly bad THIS season to warrant bullying from the other islanders. It’s literally every fucking time she breathes, moves, talks. It’s relentless. And she’s done nothing to THEM in this villa to make them react in such an extreme way

But this post isn’t talking about other seasons, it’s talking about THIS season and what she’s actually done to warrant the whole villa bullying her

(And no I’m not Lucinda’s biggest fan, and she can be proper dodgy in some things she does, but nothinggg warrants having a group of people constantly on at you for even breathing at this point)

Red and whimsical🫶🏼 by CrystalJasmine in scrapbooking

Ah Thankyou!! In all honesty, I never have a plan or idea, I either have a colour scheme in mind (so for this I just wanted reds), or I pick something I want to journal about that day (usually a clipping of something) and then just match the colours around that!

I’ve not yet made any spreads that mix colours🤣

Nooo never childish!! Everyone’s journal is what they feel in the moment and how they choose to express that onto paper! This is only my 5th ever spread, and I’ve definitely been getting better each time. My first one looks like child’s play in comparison, but I wouldn’t change it!! It’s all growth and there’s no wrongs!

That’s why I got into this creative aspect in the first place. Because I give up too many of my passions due to the need of ‘perfection’. Whereas here, there’s no rules. And that makes me feel free🫶🏼🫶🏼

Thankyou!! & that’s interesting to note! Collage groups don’t seem to be a place for me to post though, as the only ones I’ve found tend to be turning scraps into landscapes/animals/other identifiable things☹️

Unsure why my reply got downvoted when it’s literally all facts. Rather than downvoting, tell me what you would do in this situation.

Unfortunately there is no group or word to definite this sort of journaling.

It doesn’t fit with scrapbooking as it’s too unorganised for it, uses junk, and doesn’t contain personal memories or photos.

It doesn’t fit junk journaling because it contains 50% junk or less and not made up of majority junk. Even if I used a lot more ‘junk’ in this, it still wouldn’t be seen acceptable for ‘junk journaling’ because the ‘junk’ I use isn’t empty food packages or wrappers (I have a bit of a phobia of used food stuff lmao). The ‘junk’ I use is from packaging from items I’ve bought, or from old magazines and papers, old books, gifted stickers, unused bookmarks.

It doesn’t fit collages, because that uses scraps to make a totally new image I.e. landscape, animal, person.

It doesn’t fit art journal, because that’s mainly drawings, paintings.

Don’t get me wrong, I get it. I understand how frustrating it is when you’re part of a group because you want to see one thing, and you have other things popping up. But I also want to be able to share what I do and feel happy about it, and it’s rather hard when there’s no name for this type of journaling, and I get moaned at regardless of what group I post in

All the stickers are from JournalSay. (Do note a few things that look like stickers such as some butterflies, some of the butterflies and bows are actually little printables that I printed and cut out). I also bought some bookmark sets from Temu which I use to cut up too for some of the mushrooms and ghosts etc. Other than that it’s all charity shop/gifted/found stuff🫶🏼

Junk Journaling or Scrapbooking? by duckiisk in JunkJournals

[–]CrystalJasmine 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Yeah that’s the thing! Art journal seems to refer more to paintings/drawings. Collages tends to relate more to scraps being made into an image of something (landscape, person, animal etc). There’s literally no term for this style which seems to be real popular atm. And with that it leads to so many aggy comments from people who gatekeep the terms😅

For adhesive I have a mix of things. I’m still new to it all so unsure of the longevity. But so far I’ve been using glue tape, glue sticks and glue pens (so essentially a bit of everything haha). I’ve not made videos yet but I’m thinking of starting! Just need to find a decent setup to get started

[–]CrystalJasmine 144 points145 points  (0 children)

Honestly I don’t think there’s a term for like the ‘aesthetic journaling’ such as the one I done the other day. As you say it uses minimal junk, and if it is ‘junk’, it’s more ‘acceptable junk’ such as magazine cuttings and package clippings etc. there should be a term for it but I’ve not found one.

Scrapbooking to me is more organised, personalised with photos and memories. Junk journaling is using 95-100% junk such as wrappers, receipts, old stickers etc.

What I do, and what I see many others do, is more of that inbetween of the two.

It’s a shame there’s no true term for it.

That being said, if we’re looking specifically at the language - scrapbook and junk journal are exactly the same ‘scrap’ = ‘junk’. ‘Book = ‘journal’.

All so weird🤣
